Back from Hawaii and have lost 3 of the 5 lbs. I gained while there. It was so hard to log because there were a lot of new foods. It was hard to believe I could gain 5 lbs. with all the hiking, swimming, biking etc. goes to show how important healthy eating habits are.

I like being in 40 in most ways. Even though it is more difficult to stay in shape I am more willing to make the effort because I realize it won't get easier in my 50s. If I want to be active, enjoy my grandkids, enjoy that well deserved retirement it is critical to start on a journey to a healthy me.

Let's just say today is not a winning day. Fat Tuesday is sooooo hard. Doughnuts are my kryptonite and Paczki's are pretty much a filled doughnut calling my name. I knew I should have stayed home.
