It's all about trial and error. Try something. If it works, stick with it. If it doesn't work (and eventually many things will stop working) - do something else. But accept the error part as part of the game and don't dwell on it.

Along these same lines if sodium intake is high is it pretty much countered if you drink a ton of water each day?
