Lol none taken. i've been teased about that all my life :P I don't need to eat 1200 a day. I make sure I do because I work out often and push myself. I know I can't build muscle if I don't eat my proteins lol.

I am going to try and take in more protein though and stop looking at my scale so much. I'm really pushing with weights. I go to the gym and I do the supreme 90 .. I'm lifting and sweating during my lifting. I do 12 reps x 3. by the last 2 reps of each rep, I nearly don't make it with the weights I use.

Yep. I don't drink liquids other than my one coffee a day. ( other than water) I will have a day or two a month I don't calculate my calories because I know they are higher. Wow.. that was a lot of information in your last few responses! I will have to read them over a few times to get it all lol I do find I get all kinds of info that are all over the board. I hate when i'm told I don't eat enough if I don't always hit 1200. I eat a lot of nutritional foods and I'm never left hungry.

i've seen pics like that. They have "helped" to keep my mind off the scale, but I often think of them for very fit people. Hence why my goals are 105 lean or 110-115 toned. I never think of it for when you are overweight ( which I currently am).

Gawd yes!! I'm wearing a weight belt now to try and get the same type of walking workout I used to. Everything has to be so much more intense now to drop anything! I keep having to add to my workouts to try and keep up.

Sugar is fine! it's better than artificial sweetners. I use Sugar and log it. I don't eat anything "diet" including fake sugars If you want to take sugar out, you can try honey?! It's not for me though. I eat so well the rest of my day that I don't mine the bit of sugar I put in my one coffee in the morning. Moderation.

I thought skin elasticity was really more an issue of genetics. What effects? I always heard up to 2 lbs was safe?

No. I try and keep a 500 cal deficit. It is easier to do with fitbit and mfp. It calculates it for me. 1200? most of my life. Just asking, I thought what you ate did matter for weight loss because of fiber. I was always under the impression that if you ate foods higher in fiber that it would be beneficial for weight loss. Same as Protein will help build muscle.

You can do it! It is all about setting it as your lifestyle and sticking to it! I find it hard to keep at it during the winter and find myself start over every spring. boo. BUT YOU CAN DO IT!!!

I eat for me. I figure out what portion size is right for me and calculate the calories for that.
