I didn't like weight watchers because I didn't like working with some arbitrary number. Calorie counting means you also get to track nutrient levels in the foods you eat, too.

It doesn't necessarily mean he's overeating. He might be training too hard and his body is just hanging on to everything it can because it's in starvation mode. It's also possible that he might have a hormonal imbalance that would need to be corrected with medication or surgery.
