That doesn't sound like enough protein for the exercise you're doing. That isn't why you stopped losing weight, I'm just saying. What is a "small" piece of chicken? Are you using a food scale?
-
Any protein? Chicken, steak, tuna, beans?
-
That isn't how the internet works. And I think everyone is being pretty helpful.

Salads can have a lot of calories. I've seen salads on restaurant menus that have more calories than the burgers. If you aren't weighing your food, even the "healthy" stuff, then you are probably eating more than you think you are.
-
Seriously. This.

Thank you for this! I have been trying to figure out how long to give it in order to tell if I was losing too quickly or if it's just the scale playing scale games.
-
I gained 20 pounds or so from beginning of October until end of January.

Eat more. So much more. I'm losing on 1550 and I'm like six inches shorter than you. I'm actually jealous thinking about how many calories I could eat and still lose if I was your height. 1200 is not sustainable for many, especially with all of the exercise you're doing.

Half a chicken breast would have more than 55 calories. Are you weighing your food? You're probably inadvertently eating more than you think, which is good in this case.

Ten long islands would make me lose weight because I would throw up everything I have ever eaten! My stomach always looks flatter after a night of drinking, I think it's just dehydration. Weight changes too much day to day to blame or praise food choices on one day for the next day's results. Just look for the downward…

Days like that I make the decision to eat at maintenance (so 500 over my goal) I usually don't need all 500, but knowing that I can eat up to that without gaining weight makes it easier.
-
I do better when I up my calories because I'm a hangry witch on 1,200 calories and much more likely to have a 3,000 calorie weekend day when I'm restricting that much, thus knocking out all of the work I did while miserable all week. I ate half a pizza today and a giant piece of lasagna and I'm just a little over my…

It depends what it is for me. Ice cream I won't be satisfied with less than two servings (thanks food scale for letting me know how small a serving is) so I won't eat it unless I have the calories for two servings. Other things I'm ok with just having one and letting it be. Although to be honest, I generally take many…

I was running so I could eat more. I figured I would lose weight, but stayed the same but looked better/smaller/tighter. I was totally in the mindset that if I went for a run (whether it was 3 or 10 miles) that I could eat whatever I wanted in whatever quantities I wanted. We live and learn. When I can run again it will be…

This. Coffee makes me a reasonable human being.

You would probably lose weight, but you'd likely gain it all back just as quickly once you were done. You should try and find something that is sustainable for your lifestyle so that once the weight is gone you can keep it gone. Doing something that doesn't prepare you for the after will keep you in the same cycle. My…

Vanity, mainly. I want to be comfortable rocking a bikini this summer. I gained 20 pounds after a hip injury kept me from running (but not from eating as if I was running 30+ miles a week) and I want to get down to my pre-injury weight before having the surgery to fix it. Or as close as I can reasonably get. I want to…

I weigh throughout the day because I think it's interesting to see what affects it. I log it into Happy Scale every morning, and log into MFP on Fridays. I also like to weigh before bed because I like seeing how much I "lose" overnight. The number on the scale isn't as important as how I feel and look, but I like having…

I am not often hungry on 1,550 calories per day (as a 5'3" female) except when my meals are running late, or I'm bored. But boredom isn't actually hunger so I just look for a thread on the forums with the word "detox" or " X diet" in it and that usually resolves that. :p

A pound in 11 days is good! And if you haven't weighed in the last 11 days you may just be fluctuating high today. My weight this morning was two pounds less than it was yesterday morning. I did some new, harder workouts earlier in the week and it was my TOM. If you are weighing and logging all of your food and trust the…

I log everything I put in and assume that it will make up for something that was not logged properly elsewhere.

Why did you ask your doctor if you weren't going to do what she said? 16 pounds is a lot for one week, I'd make time for the doctor.
-
I noticed within the first week or two. I just had the first person who wasn't me notice yesterday, or at least the first person to say something. I've been at it seriously for about six weeks now.
-
Hahaha seriously! I can just imagine the mess I would make trying to wrap myself in it!
-
The jeans measurement is so much better than the scale! Congrats! Also, see if maybe your scale needs new batteries.
-
Thank you! I never would have got that!
-
That was fun, but my butt looks a lot better than hers even at my current weight.
-
That sucks. I don't even really like those, but knowing that other candies I do like are probably also not being totally honest with me bums me out. Also, what does YMMV mean? I can't figure it out!

I think things taste better when they are novelty shaped so I will eat them. But, I don't have kids around so I'll probably just be buying whatever is left half off on Monday. I believe that half off chocolates should have half the calories, but logic like that helped me put on 20 pounds so I will probably log them at full…
