  • I have a question for you ladies: I am almost 11 weeks, and I feel like I could possibly start wearing maternity pants soon. I mentioned this to my mom, and she was in shock. She said I shouldn't start showing and needing maternity pants until at least Christmas (that would put me at 22 weeks). I feel like she thinks I am…
  • I missed my weigh in day yesterday, so I am logging it today. I am down 2lbs this week. I am not going to worry too much, and will wait to see what the doctor says in a few weeks. Overall I am down 3 lbs from the time I found out I was pregnant.
  • I had dropped 4 lbs when I was sick, and gained those back, but overall I haven't gained anything, and am still at the weight I was the day I found out I was pregnant. I am assuming that will change soon. I haven't worked out at all either. But today I woke up at 5:30am with a ton of energy. I sorted out our entire closet,…
  • I have not exercised since I got pregnant, except now walking on crutches is a work out:bigsmile: I feel super guilty, expecially since the week before I found out I was prego, we bought an elliptical which I haven't used since. Hopefully in a few more weeks I will feel like being active. Still no weight gain since I got…
  • They did not do an ultrasound or anything when I went into the Dr. They said to just watch for spotting and cramping, which I had none of. Plus, I never hit my stomach when I fell, so I felt pretty comfortable with not doing one. My secretary at work did end up telling everyone about my being pregnant. She called and asked…
  • I fell down the stairs at work yesterday. My team was on our way to lunch, and I went tumbling down in front of 11 people. Most of them have no idea that I am pregnant, and were very confused when I instantly starting crying. I was able to make it back up the stairs to the bathroom. I cut both shins pretty good, but…
  • I know some women who are so afraid they will have GD, that they follow a GD diet as soon as they find out they are preggo. I have been watching my sugar intake, and am considering trying to follow the GD diet a little, but not 100%. The fact that anything with lots of sugar (ice cream, candy, pie, etc make me super sick…
  • I cant say my m/s is gone yet, but I think I am getting closer. I have had a few good days here and there, so I think there are more comming!!!! I actually am having a problem when I eat though. If I eat more than about 5 bites of anything, I get this horrible pain in my stomach for the next few hours. It is so painful I…
  • I went to the doctor yesterday, and measured exactly right. 8wk1day, so everything is right on track. DH liked the doctor, so that is good too. Came home and put out the M&M's with our names and baby on them, and my mom found them within an hour. She kind of went into shock, and then got really excited. My dad was pretty…
  • My first Dr. Appointment is tomorrow at 1. I am really hoping for good news, and to get to hear the HB. My parents are comming into town for the weekend (they live 6 hours away), so we will tell them after the appointment. I made reservations at a fancy resturant for a "celebration" dinner!!!!
  • Ugg, still not feeling too hot. Last night I was in so much pain, and just feeling miserable. I couldn't sleep last night either, so today is a rough one. I TOTALY forgot I had a big meeting at work today. I got to work, and my boss was in a suit. I felt like an idiot when I asked him why he was all dressed up, and he was…
  • Shoppingqueen - She is so cute, I love the hat!!! I too am having a rough time. Being sick means I am making really bad food choices, which I feel super guilty about, and it brings me down more. My first appointment is on Friday, and hopefully that will cheer me up. I think just not knowing if everything is OK for 8 weeks…
  • My headache is gone today, but still not feeling too good. how about the rest of you? I have to share my dream from last night....it was too funny. So in my dream, I had my baby. I walked into the hospital, laid down on a bed, pushed once and the baby was born. No pain at all. Then we went home, with the minutes old baby.…
  • I have a massive headache too. I actually am getting ready to head home from work for the day. Just feeling miserable:cry:
  • Tonight we have to go to a class sponsored by and held at my doctors office. Before you have your first appointment with your doctor, you have to go to this class, and get paperwork showing you attended. Has anyone heard of this? I have no idea what the class is about, as the day I called to make my appointment I was so…
  • PrePreg Weight: 191.0 Current Weight: 187.0 Anyone else loose weight in the begining? I am really trying to eat at lest 1500-1800 calories a day, but the lbs keep dissapearing?
  • You guys have me laughing so hard. My DH was and still is so totally confused. He couldn't figure out why we had to be sure to do it a certain time of month, just couldn't comprehend the timing of ovulation. Now he is even more confused, and keeps asking when we are going to "start doing it every other day again". I am…
  • I am in OH, but I work for a very small, private company, so they do not have to abide by the same rules as companies that have more than 50 people. I plan to take 12 weeks off afterwords, just with 6 of them totally unpaid. I am saving big-time to cover our expenses during that time. Funny you mention the commute. I have…
  • Wow, 4 weeks before is great!!! We get 6 weeks after, but nothing before. If we need to take some time off before the baby comes we have to use part of the 6 weeks, so if I take a week or so off before the baby comes, I will only get 5 weeks after. It really stinks.
  • Ron2282 - I just wanted to say how great you are doing with the weightloss! I started at the same weight as you, and was keeping up for a while, but now I will have to wait 8 months to try to catch up. You are such an inspiration, and I hope I can be as successful as you are once I start loosing weight again!
  • I agree about not calling it morning sickness. Up until this point, I just feel yucky from about 4pm until I go to bed, but this morning was a wake up call!
  • Angela - I love the pics, they are so creative. Your brother has some amazing talent. Yessie- You are almost there! I cant wait to see pics of your little one. mwilson - Did you have an internal u/s to hear the heart beat? My appointment will be at 8weeks and 1 day, and I was thinking I wouldn't be able to hear it, but if…
  • I ended up skipping out on lunch at Jimmy Johns because I was just to nervous. Cali- What is a belly band? I love your picture!! Like Cali, I would love input on where to shop for maternity clothes. I have to dress professionaly for work, so I think it may be a bit tougher, but any advice would be great!
  • I was taking them for about 6 months before I got pregnant. I take the Target Up and Up brand ones with DHA in them. I take them in the middle of my lunch, so it mixes with the food, and I haven't had any unpleasant side effects. I am going to the doctor next week, and he said they would give me ones that I should take. I…
  • Angela - You are so close, I am very excited for you! I need everyone's advice. I know you are not supposed to eat lunch meat while pregnant, unless it has been heated first and even then it is iffy. My team at work goes to Jimmy Johns all the time, and since it is a team activity, we are all expected to go. I always get a…
  • Ckmama - Are you starting to show yet? I am trying to get a handle on how quickly I will show, which also means how quickly I will need to tell work about my "situation" :ohwell: Also, I have found that roasted, lighly salted almonds really help curb cravings. Might be worth a try.
  • phoenix - I just found out I am pregnant last week. I was at 1200 calories per day, and switched to maintenence, which put me at 1960. Thats (760) more calories a day. In a book I received from my Doctor, it says for the first three months you should consume only 200-300 calories more than you were eatting before. Now, I…
  • I hope you guys dont mind if I continue to hang around here a bit, as I don't want to loose touch with you! LW: 190.5 CW: 190.0 I am surprised I lost a bit, as I actually increased my calories, but I have been really careful of the calories I am eatting, and have done something "active" every day for the last 5 days. Also,…
  • I will probably go for the meds. I am a whimp when it comes to pain, and I think I will be so worried about the pain, I will make myself a nervous wreck, and do more harm than good. I think knowing there is something that can help me handle the pain will make me a lot more relaxed.
  • Ok this is crazy, I am living in OH too. So how many of us are in OH???? Fitterpam - I totally know what you are experiencing. I have a simmilar issue. I can get to 192, and have tried for years to get below it. I tried everything, and would always get stuck at it. I think we all have a weight that our bodies are…
