Hi everyone! My name is Jason. I joined MFP in January while looking for a calorie counter tool. I began road cycling 2 years ago as part of a lifestyle transformation and to help me lose weight. Within a year, cycling helped me lose 121 pounds and get well below the top end of the BMI "normal" range. As most cyclists do,…

I use ridewithgps.com to map out routes and also use it to convert GPX tracks to my Garmin Edge. To track my rides, though, I use Garmin Connect exclusively.

Paula: a thinner faced version of Kelly Clarkson (based on her new hairstyle from the Super Bowl national anthem).

No matter how much you think you know your closest friend, it is entirely possible that you are not aware of all the circumstances, feelings, and emotions that they experience in their relationship with their significant other. While trust in any relationship is a big concern, you can't apply a "one size fits all" solution…

Welcome! I go through phases of iron will and then something a litte (lot) less than iron. But, what matters is that I can always get back on track. Add me if you would like. And, good luck!

The miracle isn't that I finished. The miracle is that I had the Courage to start. - John Bingham. This is the quote that got me through my weight loss journey and helped me achieve so many "firsts" aling the way.

That is a very harsh thing to say to your spouse. Jealousy issues are very tough to handle and can end up being very harmful, both physically and emotionally, if they are not handled peoperly. Good luck to you.

I would have to say "if it feels right", go for it. I have done the same thing but have found that the interests we shared then was no longer enough to make us interested in each other after the passage of time. People change and you may not be able to "connect" like you once did.

It took me from January 2 to March 22 of the same year. Roughly 4.5 pounds per week on average. Biggest week during that time was the first week (15.2 pounds) and the lowest week was the 10th week (0.2 pounds).

I am a creature of habit - I eat either of two breakfasts each morning. If I am planning to exercise early, I eat two servings of Raisan Bran Crunch with a cup of skim milk (466 calories). I find that the oat clusters in the cereal help me feel full and the cereal gives me just enough carbs to power a 2 hour bike ride. If…

I like the Weight Watchers giant fudge bars at 100 calories or a 6-ounce serving of Triple Choclate frozen yogurt at a shop in my town (120 calories).

I am always encouraging my wife to go to the gym with me. Lately, she's been taking me up on the offer. She has tried so many times to lose weight and loses her focus when her loss happens so slowly. I bought her a Bodybugg for Christmas and it seems to be helping her maintain her focus.

Great job on your success so far! Keep it up!

I usually snack with an apple cinnamon multigrain bar (140 cal), a box of raisins (140 cal), or a clementine (35 cal).

I gave up soda for Lent in 2008. At that time, I was drinking about two gallons of Diet Pepsi each day. After Lent, I switched to Sprite and felt that I was doing good by dropping the caffeine. When I started my weight loss journey two years ago, I gave up the Sprite and haven't had a soft drink since. I am glad to have…

Before I lost weight I always worried that people hated seeing my headed to the seat next to them. I have no reservations flying now. Congrats on the win!
