Majoring in the minors........such a shame........ OP - If you could have choked down 16oz glass of skim milk you would have nailed your macros...........but skim milk is gross.....bleehhhhhh...my opinion only. #teamwholemilk

Having the bar lower on your back is going to naturally force you to lean forward a bit more as the bar is trying to stay directly over your mid-foot. It's definitely a different feeling than a high bar squat. Just like the other lifts your setup is going to be different than the next person based on your "dimensions."…

@krokador - I have some of the same issues of falling forward at times. These videos helped me better understand what I was doing. If you watch your bar path on most reps it moves forward and out of the straight up/down motion over mid foot. Hope these help! https://youtu.be/ZeqEWLvtZJw https://youtu.be/fEMIqEQ10z8

@nakedraygun https://www.wiaawi.org/Portals/0/PDF/Health/performanceenhancers.pdf look up "discouraged" It wasn't actually banned by WIAA but my HS coaches said if they found out we were taking it we could be kicked off the team.

^^this ^^ it's the only way to know what those calories are doing for you......

Sounds like a solid meal plan to me.....stay the course and track your weight gains weekly.....adjust accordingly after about 6-8 weeks....

Any tips on helping with my hips shooting up on squats? https://youtu.be/uEmMjZpjlG8 Camera angle was lob sided......

Yup.....it is. Some people require more calories than others...................... Anyone who is "bulking" shouldn't be concerned with macro splits....get adequate protein through nutritionally dense foods and fill in the rest with whatever gets you to your calorie goal. Keep your caloric surplus between 250-350 calories…

Great job! It was fun to follow.

From my understanding it's when the judge feels the bar is motionless and then they give the "press" command. No set time per se...

325 for sure should be an opener for you! That looked easy both reps for you! Nice!

@sjohnson__1 it's going well. I'm on my final "accumulation" week before I test maxes the following week. My primary lifts increase intensity from week to week, and my accessory lifts increase in volume each week. So far my body has responded well. I'm going to run one more four week block before I address my bench press.…

Good stuff Shane! I like reading your updates.

You don't have to do cleans, you can drop them completely and add a different accessory movement.

Here's my set up..... http://youtu.be/K6xRILfJw24

Couple minor things. Your elbows are a bit flared out. Are you able to tuck them in a bit closer. Engaging my lats is how I'm able to accomplish this. I would recommend trying a slightly different setup order. Get your hands on the bar, then positions your shoulders, and finally get your butt and feet set last. Lastly,…

I'm currently running a basic linear periodized intermediate program written by Greg Nuckols from www.strengtheory.com So far I love it, main lifts 2x/ week and high volume accessory work. Once you're an intermediate lifter increasing volume over time is important to keep making strength gains. Build more muscle first with…

Belts aren't a requirement. They do help push more weight when used properly. I just got my first real belt (thick leather lever belt) a couple of weeks ago. It feels great having that extra support while bracing.

This.... I loved MadCow when I did it. (A variation of Texas)
-
3x5 is a great place to start. From there 5/3/1 or the Texas Method are great intermediate programs.

Box squats were originally designed for "geared" lifters and not raw lifters. Zerchers are a waste and a horrible exercise IMO. Which program are you switching to? How often were you back squatting? Have you done any deloads?
