Usability of Sync Now I would like a quicker way to perform a Sync Now operation. I use both the app and the web site extensively. The app's data is often out of sync with the web site, either one way or the other. The app appears to sync on its own when it's open... but not always, and not quickly enough at times.…

If you look at someone's profile (click their name or photo), you should be able to click an "Add as a Friend" button. Also, to look up someone's profile you can click on the Community tab at the top of the browser and then Find Members under that. As Heart's Desire says, make sure you spend plenty of time on the Success…

another vote for roasting.... roasting changes everything about a vegetable... any vegetable you currently hate you will love when roasted.... no exceptions. brussels sprouts broccoli you name it. try grilling them too. grilled asparagus with olive oil and parmesan cheese is a wild hit with my 11 and 13 year old girls.

Argh! I had the same problem where I used to work.... there was a huge bucket of mixed nuts that everyone was free to share and contributed to purchasing... I swear that bucket of nuts was like a magnet to me! The combination of salt, fat, sugar, and starch in those things (cashews are high in sugar) is just too…

Cool! I'll have to add some of these to my Diet Nuggets blog: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/blog/nehushtan A recent favorite: My mind says "It's slavery!"... but my mirror says "It's freedom!"

If you use Firefox, this Add-on works well: http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/25105

More: When I go to Settings -> Data Sync it says there are two local changes unsynced (i had entered two exercise entries). When I tap Synchronize Now, it says "Synchronizing Data..." FOREVER! If I push my S3 home button to put the app in the background, then "dismiss" the app from the app manager, then re-start the app…

my exercise didn't sync from the phone to the web site today

Awesome work! "Long may you run".

I've got Multi-add turned on... so when I go to add something to Dinner (for example), it shows the multi-add view... but if I hit the back button on the phone, the multi-add mode is turned off. Then I'm at the point of selecting individual items. I think when I see the list of items with the multi-add boxes, the back…

I've been using a combination of cayenne pepper capsacin and caffeine for over 6 months but I think the effect has been trivial. I tried it because I was told of a U of OK study. See this pie chart: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/932085-the-weight-loss-pie-chart If fat burners do anything it will be in the 1%…

I put a slightly updated version of this (hopefully a little clearer) on the success stories forum, with some pictures: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/978012-curse-words

ROAST ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING! And try grilling asparagus with pepper, lemon, olive oil and parmesan cheese.

HA! Awesome.... when I dropped 80 lbs my wife would say "You look just like a little kid now!" That was at age 48!

Another vote for Quest... because it's really one of the few bars (the only one I see on the shelves in stores I visit anyway) with no whey concentrate, only whey isolate. I need the whey isolate because it's lactose-free. Whey concentrate gives me gas whether I take it as a powder, in a bar, or anything else. There are…

I was on low carb back in 1996 and kept at it for over a year. I lost a good deal of weight and thoroughly enjoyed eating that way. It was fun to get fatty double cheeseburgers with bacon & no bun, and eat it with a sauce of full-fat mayo and mustard! I also studied it extensively and determined that it was healthy for me…

They're kind of bland when they're boiled. When my wife and I were on Atkins we used to de-stem, bisect, deep-fat fry, strain, and then coat them generously with Parmesan cheese. They were heavenly but the aroma stank up the house for the next two days. Naturally that's not a low-fat or low-calorie way to handle the little…

Like the others said, it's total calories that matter. The quality of fruit (at least some of it) that makes it appealing for a lot of dieters is what's called "low calorie density": there's less calories per cubic inch in an apple versus ice cream for example. I find that an apple or a couple of handfuls of grapes help me…

I collect some of these here: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/blog/nehushtan One of my favorite recent ones is: "I'll try" is a wish. "I will" makes it come true.
