I drink at least 120oz of water a day! As long as you are peeing it out you are fine, holding it in is what causes water poisoning. The general rule is half your body weight in ounces! If you think you are at risk for diabetes talk to your doctor :)

1.) as long as it takes 2.) I did increase at on point and hit a serious plateau. I don't seem to lose unless I eat low cal. 3.) Probably won't do it forever, I would only go back if I felt I was gaining. That being said, I eat back my exercise calories so I am technically eating 1300-1500 cals/day but netting 1100-1200. I…

No, you're not. Dunkin donuts, pizza, chipotle, Italian sausage, and 5 guys all within a few days. low carb or not fat is fat, sodium is sodium, fast food is fast food. I'm not trying to be rude, but I find when I am not successful and I "don't know why", it's usually because I am not being honest and trying my best. And…

I did just peep out your diary based on some of the comments. Try making small changes one at a time, like replacing that daily coffee drink with the "lite" version, all that cream and sugar isn't doing you any favors. Maybe consult a nutrionist, you said calorie counting is hard for you, I find that if I eat mostly whole,…

Lots of good advice on here, keep doing what makes you feel good! Me and my scale were not getting along so I locked it in the closet, best thing I ever did ;)

Whoa, 16 pages, That has to be a record! These kinds of threads always spark the best debates! My answer to question #1 is no! I don't lose weight if I eat crap, I lose more when I keep it cleaner, but I do have a friend on here that eats whatever and she loses too, so I think it's whatever works for you!

I do agree your calories are set low BUT that diesn't help you.... high protein snacks.. I just got done eating hard boiled egg whites and a cheese stick as a snack! Things like egg whites, peanut butter, nuts, I've been known to use some grilled chicken as a snack, ham slices rolled around cheese, greek yogurt. Search the…

A dog leash and the 34th bag of skittles!

You should open your diary so people can see what you're eating and give you advice. I know they saw it's all about calories in vs calories out, but 1200 calories of lean protein, veggies and complex carbs go alot further than 1200 calories of processed foods/junk. Try to make sure you are getting enough protein and fiber,…

WOW, everyone thanks so much for all the ideas and website links! I usually use Sunday afternoon to prep my lunch food, I think I may be prepping some dinner stuff too while I'm at!
-
Thanks Guys! I guess since my husband doesn't cook or ever has any dinner suggestions I didn't think about you, my apologies :)

I feel my stress level going down :)

Congrats on quitting smoking! When I am feeling like that I think of what the ONE thing I really want is and I have a reasonable serving of it. That usually stops me from binging on a bunch of stuff. sorry, the water trick never works for me, I drink like 120ounces a day and still get hungry and want to binge every so…

I cannot eat Fiber One products of any kind, if I do I get super painful gas! I am not sure what is in those things but try getting your fiber from fruits and veggies! If you're looking for a "bar" try Quest Bars, kinda pricy but good for ocassional use!

Measure, weigh, and be honest, log EVERYTHING! I also only weigh myself once a month it's too dicouraging to not see a loss makes me very frustrated and sets me back. If you don't currently do any strength training try adding that to build some muscle. You may gain a little at first but the muscle will increase your…

My Why is easy - My family, I want to be around for a long time for my children and husband, I want to set a good example. Your kids notice what you do more than you think. My 7 yr old likes to be like me and she "works out" she can do some pretty mean push ups and sit ups! I am hoping to inspire them to be healthy and…

To put it in perspective, it took me one year to lose 26 pounds. That was doing it the healthy way. Don't set yourself up for failure, you will get there in good time and be better of for doing it safley. And YES i agree, consult a physician because of your history. Good luck :)

250+ days, add me if you would like! I LOVE peeping people's diaries!!! I have learned alot :)

Go with how you feel, if you're hungry eat them back, if not keep them in your "pocket" for a day you may go over a little. Make sure if you are eating back the calories you are acuratly calculating them. I use a Heart rate monitor with a chest strap when I workout, before I had one I used to eat back 1/2 the calories MFP…

When you list the things you are doing, they seem like healthy habits. You are telling us you live this way but IF you were that should be working for you! My biggest problem was that I was telling myself I was doing the right things, but in reality I wasn't! Sounds like you know what they should be , so instead of saying…

I am a Mom to 2 kids, and I work full time! I get up everyday at 4am to fit in my P90X !!! Really sucks at first, but once you get in the swing of it, you can't start your day without your workout!!!
-
There is some good advice here! But it sounds like you are putting alot of pressure on yourself! When we do that it makes it harder to achieve our goals.... Just remember this man you are marrying loves you just the way you are!!! Wanting to make yourself healthy is a great thing, but it takes time. So be patient with…

Thanks, I hope so!!

Seeing my hard work paying off, and my friends on here that I know are looking for my workouts!!!!! Just knowing that you're in it with a few good friends really helps :)
-
Hey, you can add me! I am about 10 pounds from my goal too :)

weight loss is definatly a loooong journey, but think of how proud you will be when you get to your goal, and all the small victories in between! What motivtes me? My family, my MFP friends, the way I feel after a good workout, and watching myself change into a healthier person!!! Best of luck to you :)
