first of all, congrats on your new sahm status! how exciting!! i have a 16 month old daughter who i stay home with. this is what works for us - i workout during her first nap, which is around 10:30am. usually i run on the treadmill and do a little bit of circuit training. or i do a jillian michaels dvd (30 day shred, burn…

this is why twizzlers are so dang ADDICTIVE! they have the *perfect* texture. but they're like 40 calories and a tsp of sugar a pop. bad, bad, bad. you know they sell chewy stixx for kids with oral sensory issues that are non toxic and bph free. if you think it's that bad. =)

yep! it's 45 min, 6 days a week. or 54 min, 5 days a week. or however you want to get it in, as long as you meet 270!

meeee toooooooo! i have a crazy sweeth tooth. i swear i gained 4 lbs just from candy cane hershey kisses over christmas, because i know i was good at all the dinners we had. and dh gets me the best locally made swiss chocolates for valentine's day. birthdays are easier for me because i bake those angelfood lush cupcakes…

count me in! i've been slacking and could really use a thread like this to check in to. when i first did the shred last june/july, i was committed to doing it 5 days a week. it was brutal on my knees. brutal as in motrin and ice. finally about 6 days into level 2 i stopped. later when i went back to it i'd switch up the…

this looks so delicious! thanks for sharing!

i have never tried raw oats in yogurt. (just no bakes!) will have to try now. this reminded me of something- when i was in jr high, my best friends and i used to make pancakes on saturday mornings, except one day we didn't have enough mix, so we threw oats into the batter. they were so good, we started making them every…

LOVE kashi's go lean vanilla instant oatmeal. and you can't beat 7g of fiber! i add strawberries and vanilla almond milk. so good! or raisins, bananas, and pecan chips.

i *love* this thread... i'm trying to turn my kids onto old fashioned oats instead of instant oatmeal. yesterday three of them tried pb and banana. one of them loved it. the other two, not so much. it was too rich, i think. shoulda added less pb. but there are so many more ideas here to try! what about.... a tsp of…

this is how my 14 yr old son likes his. except he adds a splash of milk after the oats set up. so then it becomes something like oat-clusters-and-milk. i don't know how he started eating it like this, but if i stir in the milk he says i ruin it. lol

thank you for posting!! roasted garbanzo beans sound soooo good. especially as it's starting to turn cooler... i can't wait to try!
-
thanks guys! refried beans are about the only bean i eat at the moment. bean salad sounds good, soup too. now i need to find some recipes... keep the ideas coming! =)

we celebrated my daughter's first birthday on saturday and i made a batch of these. i used strawberries in place of the pineapple. she loved every bite and so did everyone else! i sent two home with my mother in law for her and her dh and she confessed to me today that they didn't quite make it home. lol i also saved the…

yum. i eat spinach every day! breakfast, lunch, dinner. it is a staple on our grocery list. walmart's brand, "marketside" organic baby spinach. stays super fresh too, unlike bagged salad mixes.

i've never been a big dieter. but i still catch myself slipping up. for me, i just think i need to find a better way to say "i don't want to eat that" without using the d word. something like "im trying to watch my calories" instead of "diet"? i don't know, we need to think of some. anyone have any?
