I have the perception that I am still much larger than I am. When everyone comments on how healthy and fit I look I feel thrown off. I don't see any of what they see. Sometime I think it may be that my family (who say these things) are so unhealthy that they think that I am healthy.... :grumble: Then I worry that my…

I like this list. Funny thing is I have already completed #2- The half-marathon a couple of times. Yet I am still working on #1 and #3! Haha! I have very little core strength and arm strength, but I am working on it. Other things on my bucket list: 1. Hold a hand stand for 60 seconds 2. Run a full marathon 3. Have splits,…

*Hug* I just wanted to say that I agree with you. I have similar problem. I am 5'3" as well and I always get stuck at the 10pound markers forever. (At least it feels like FOREVER) I was stuck at the 140-130 mark for at least 4 months before tipping down. Now I am stuck at the 120-130 mark. I have been bouncing around here…

Hello! I am so HAPPY I found this group! (Just had to say!) Name is Tanjha, pronounced Tonya. But I also go by 'hey you!' :D My superpower is my amazing ability to obsess over my multiple obsessions in a rotating cycle. i just start adding new fandoms to the rotation as they appear. I am not sure if that counts so.... I…

Thanks Scootb81! I started on Brooks Defiance 4's. Been running on Saucony Triumph 9's for the past 7 months (On second pair due to wear out). I may go for a run barefoot like you suggest and see how that feels. I did return the Brooks Pure to get the new saucony's, but next time I get paid I may go back in and purchase a…

Hey Sabine_Stroeh! I had the Brooks Pure as well. I ran in them on the treadmill while there and they said it looked good. I am a neutral runner and I stretch ... a lot actually. I am starting to think I was pushing too fast because my old ones were wore out and I do have a 1/2 Marathon coming up in 3 weeks. Maybe when my…

OMG! I LOVE Doctor Who! Also Merlin, Angel, and Being Human (UK version).

Drinks and Social Gatherings. Family and friends are always pressuring me and making my feel guilted into eating more than I really need or want. The only person supportive of my goals is my BF.

Chocolate Rice Milk; It helps to satisfy my sweet tooth. Cheesy Celery - Rice Milk Cheddar Cheese shredded over celery and heated just enough to melt the cheese in the microwave. (Yummy!) These are my current favorite foods! :)

I have never been accepting of my body for as long as i can remember, side effect of a horrible parent not considering the strong effect words have. ANYWAYS... i was obsessed with being fit and if 'she' called me fat it didn't matter. then I 'developed' and started getting attention from the opposite sex. I was not…

thank you so much for explaining this! That fat storage makes a lot of sense. It gives me hope that when I finally level out that my PMS will go back to normal. I wanted to cry  thinking I was the only one. Glad at one moment that I am not alone in this and sad at the next that so many of us are having these…

I am glad someone else knows what I am talking about. When I search the web there are not many articles about pms symptoms increasing with age, but not associated with weight loss. I believe I will still aim for my healthy goal weight. I think it is an OK trade off. If the symptoms get much worse though, I feel that they…

My goal is 115, but I will accept 120 if I get there and am happy with my progress. I am about 20lbs away from my goal and I can already tell it is the last 20lbs that are the hardest! I don't have a deadline but maybe I should think of adding one to keep me motivated.

I am always starving and in horrible moods for days following being glutenized, in addition to the pain. I generally try to follow my calories but always fail. By the end of each day I am irritable and miserable and cave in for my favorite naught snack. GF toast with butter and jelly. I mean lost of butter substitute and…

I am bad at telling stories of my life that matches their current situation. I usually do this to make a point and show a reason, lesson, or moral. But looking back I fear that they think I am just shallow :( I am just trying to relate and show them I understand and then I usually offer support. I feel like they think I am…

My favorite is a variety! Little bit of everything in the mornings. 1/2cup 1% Small Curd Cottage Cheese 1/2 medium grapefruit 1 slice of Gluten free toast 1tbsp of jelly of choice To switch it up I like to swap out the grapefruit with 1/2 small pear, 1/4 apple. Or swap out the cottage cheese with two scrambled egg whites…

My vices listed in order: #1. GF toast with jelly #2. Anything raspberry or pineapple tart/sweet #3. Chocolate; not just any chocolate, but Hershey bars with a cup of Earl gray tea. It melts the chocolate on your tongue. Absolutely delicious!

Hey! I am 5'3" give or take a few centimeters. At my highest weight over 3 years ago I was 190+ (I don't really know for sure because I refused to get on a scale I was so embarrassed.) I dropped at least 50 pounds in 2009-2010. Then my grandfather passed away and I slipped. I gained another 20 something pounds. I…

I have not been tested but the reactions I get when I have been contaminated or using gluten in skin care products I know it is bad and I will just stay away from it... Hey! My name is Tonya. Two of my half-sisters are GF (also a few cousins have been added) for the past 4 years. One sibling is Celiac and the other Gluten Intolerant. I could not afford to have the test done but went free 2 years ago and have never looked back. I always had anxiety and other health issues, weight issue…
