I TOTALLY recommend the Chalean Extreme program. I am in month two and have already seen great results, and increase in my weight loss because I have more muscle, and changes in my body.

WOW - really??? I hope to hell I don't get any shorter, I am not even 5'4"!!! (And the guy I am dating is 6'5" lol). Did you ask the doc about it? Check this out: http://caloriecount.about.com/forums/weight-loss/losing-height-weight

I suffer from anxiety and depression as well, and take medication, which I don't think I will ever go off of. I don't want to go off them, either, because I feel so much better on my meds. But - losing weight and exercising every day has REALLY helped my moods, and I think I am in a very good place now.

I'm not an expert by any means - but I don't think it hurts you at all. For myself, thoguh, I have noticed that if I work out longer than an hour a day, my weight loss will plateau. I lose the most at about 30 to 60 a day, and I do strength training and cardio on alternating days.

POPCORN!!!

I just went and bought a full length mirror for this reason - I have no one on hand to take a full body shot, too. But he is right, I am also embarrassed.

I thought this was an encouraging post. What i took away from it is that we should not be ashamed of who we are, but instead share our goals and our frustrations on here because we are all here for the same thing - to get healthy. I only post head shots because of exactly what Brian said - I am EMBARRASSED about how I…

I'm on the Chalean Extreme program, so I have 3 circuits of weight training a week and cardio the other days, and even though I still have a lot of weight to lose, I am already seeing results with this program. Its great!

OH YA SISTA!!!!
-
Awesome! Have you heard of Leslie Sansone? She ides a great series of low impact walk at home videos. I love them.
-
I hear ya, it was a quarter pounder meal, large size please with a sweet tea and 2 apple pies! Then I would eat the apple pies before I got home so no one would see. **SHUDDERS** Or of course I could eat a bag of chips in a day. Or I would just eat and eat and eat because I was bored and emotional and miserable.

Thanks for the recipe! I am not much of a cook, so for those of you who want turkey sausage without making it, Jimmy Dean makes turkey sausage links and patties pre-cooked that you just have to microwave. I get them at WalMart by the bacon/sausage. :)

I guess I am both, because i work full time (plus own my own business and go to school), but I do it all from home. I have always felt this was the best choice for my children, because my oldest son is autistic and had a very rough start in life. I love my job and would not trade it for the world, but have never felt that…

I do as well, and like others who have posted here, I have broken my goals down into smaller chunks. (And I actually started out at 295 at my highest, but had already lost 37 pounds when I started mfp). My first goal was a pair of size 20 pants, which I am sitting in right now. My next goal is to hit 221, which means I…

I am SOOOOO like you - right down to playing softball! I was the cleanup hitter, too lol! I started c25k about 3 weeks ago. I could not do all the 60 second intervals, I couldn't even last the entire 60 seconds on the first week. I just finished week 2 day 3 this morning, and I think i am going to repeat it, but i am going…

LOL that's my goal is to actually weigh what my driver's license says! LOL! Awesome!

Just do your due diligence! Be honest in your food diary, exercise and log it every day, drink your water and support others! I find that reading the forum posts really helps me to stay motivated and involved, and that encouraging others helps me to stay encouraged as well.
-
That is AWESOME!!!
-
I LOVE the Leslie Sansone videos, too, and you can get them at Amazon or even at WalMart where they sell the weights.
-
Feel free to add me! The more the merrier, and the support makes ALL the difference in the world.
-
That is AWESOME! Hopefully you were able to find another job. Here is to your continued success (raises coffee cup)!

LOL I am short (under 5'4") and I get the pain delay too. I get that same moment of OMG this is REALLY going to hurt in a second!
-
NOTHING WRONG WITH THAT. I had a HORRIBLE day Saturday food-wise, we went to Olive garden. But I had a GREAT day with my best friend and my daughters, and Sunday got right back on it. I think the key is always getting back to it and having a great rest of the week. You can do it!!!
-
NO idea. I know they go by points, but maybe you can look up a converter from pints to ounces?
-
It is ABSOLUTELY TRUE. And it can last up to two weeks. But once that swelling goes down, you will really start to shed the pounds. I have lived it so I know. :)
-
My calves are FRIGGIN HUGE. I don't know if its the way I walk or what, but my calves are the size of some people's thighs and all muscle. I don't know how to reduce them, its kind of embarrassing. I get shin splints too, and i don't know how to not get them.

You know, its so funny because when I was in high school, I was F A S T. But now I have about 100 pounds to lose, and have just started jogging a bit. I feel like an earthquake. I feel EVERY fat roll I have bouncing up and down, I know I look absolutely RIDICULOUS doing it, but I do it anyway. And I have to laugh, because…
-
LOL I have no answer but wanted to bump your post up. :)

I save calories and have a bag of popcorn every evening after my kids go to bed. I really look forward to having that every night, and I am still doing well.
