I definitely agree with the cooking day! I am going to grad school and working full time and the best thing I do for myself is to make all of my meals on Sunday, then I don't have to worry about it during the week!

I usually think about how what I'm doing is destroying the fat on my body, especially if I'm doing a class where there's punching or kicking I imagine I'm punching away the fat on my stomach! It's weird but it works!

How much you burn daily is called your basal metabolic rate which can be calculated based on your height, weight, age and gender then I believe they take the deficit from there. Hope this helps!

I was SO nervous before my first 5k too but you should definitely do it it's really fun!
