I recently fit into a pair of jeans that I hadn't been able to wear in like 8 years. About 6 weeks ago they were still snug around my thighs, now they're loose. That is a huge victory for me!

Great job! I think a lot of people can attest to the yo-yo dieting and fluctuation in weight. One thing that is different for me this time is that I never said I want to lose x amount of weight by this time. I committed myself for a year and going from there. In the past, I always had these short terms goals that were…

You look fantastic!

Weight lifting has transformed my body and improved my weight loss significantly. I've been on this journey for over a year. When I first started I did mostly cardio including zumba, cycling, running with some yoga mixed in. I was just not seeing the results I wanted. Yes, I had lost about 35 lbs, but my weight loss…

From what I have read you should never go under 1200 calories per day. MFP takes in to account your current weight and height and then averages out how many calories you need in order to reach your weight loss goal per week. As you get smaller, your calorie need per week goes down. My guess is that as long as you're not…

Tomorrow is a new day. Let go of the guilt and do better tomorrow.

It really varies from week to week depending on what meals I plan to make for my family, but I'll give the basics: 1% milk, unsalted butter, cheddar cheese, babel light cheese, eggs, cream, greek yogurt, chicken (breast or thigh), center cut bacon, dark chocolate, ezekiel bread, low-sugar peanut butter, organic knock-off…

I don't know exactly what your weight lighting work-outs look like, but I'll explain to you what I do so you get an idea. I go to the YMCA and they have a weight lifting class called RIP, I'm pretty sure its nationwide, but basically it's a circuit free-weight lifting class. We do and hour long class hitting the major…

I've been at this for a while and I'm trying to get off my last 15lbs. In the beginning, I totally agree with you. Look at the big picture, but now that I've essentially hit a plateau I feel the need to really hone my eating habits.

I don't use artificial sweeteners. I've read studies that they actually make you want sweets even more because they are so excessively sweet, that and they're essentially chemicals that we do not know all of the side-effects to and I don't think they taste good. Sometimes I'll have a stevia sweetened soda, but honestly I…

I've been incorporating a protein shake into my diet about 3-5 times a week since I've been lifting weights regularly. I find that if I don't eat enough protein the day before or the day of my weight lifting class I am seriously fatigued.

I was just asking my weight lifting instructor about this. She said for someone who is maintaining to lift at least 2 days a week. Building muscle 3 days a week. Competing should do 4 days a week and 3 days a week rotating weeks. If that makes sense. I've been lifting 2-3 days a week and have seen serious improvement in my…

I pay $65 a month and get essentially the same thing, plus so much more. I think that I'll stick with the YMCA. :)

I think the cost is outrageous. We have a similar class available at our local YMCA and physically it is no joke. It kicks my *kitten* every time. What I like about it is that everyone is doing it together and we have an instructor. It motivates me and is an awesome work out. Strength and a cardiovascular at the same time.…

Congratulations! You look beautiful in your wedding dress.

I don't know what's worse: not racking your weight or not wiping down your machine. It's called normal gym etiquette. She should be the one getting talked to, not you.

I think maybe we can be triplets. I'm 28, 6' SW 230, CW 180, GW 165

Wow that calculator has me eating 2700+ calories a day. With MFP I calculated my calories to about 1350 and then add 500 for BFing. I haven't noticed a decrease in my supply with the MFP calorie goal, but then again I tend to eat the calories I gain by exercising. So I guess it evens out.
-
It's amazing what awareness of what you consume can do for your body, mind and soul. MFP is seriously the enlightenment that I've needed for the past 10 years. Now I know how many calories I really need and the weight has come of with little effort (at least when it comes to eating). Great job with your progress. Keep up…

In the past I have always tapered off with exercise due to the winter. I do not want to fall into that habit again. So I have made it a goal to keep exercising throughout the winter and that includes outdoor activities.

You look awesome! Great job.

I have no experience with the band, but this thread has been very informative.

Another really great website to look for women who are the same size as you is: http://www.mybodygallery.com/

I can definitely tell a difference. I had my second in January so I can relate. Great job!

My face is just smaller. No real changes in color or texture.

You look great! An inspiration.
