In the same boat, in a way. My husband of 30 years passed away 8 months ago. So tough. At first I dropped about 5-6 lbs now up about 5 from goal weight. Very difficult to stay on track. Hoping with time things will level out for you and I both. Good luck. Stay strong. Better days ahead. :)

Large families that grocery shop together, 6+. Toddler in the huge car cart, teenagers texting on their phones and they all stand there and stare at cheeses together for pushing five minutes leaving no room or attention to others trying to shop. Why? Or people who block aisles with the electric carts, as I patiently wait,…

Yes. Somewhat. 38D to a 34C. Not complaining, at all. 50 lbs lost.

Yes. It just clicks, you finally get it. Which I did a year and a half ago. Food, cooking "was" a hobby, pleasure or whatever of mine. No more. Tasteless, boring food ? Ha ! Had to laugh. Went to lunch recently with friends. Not impressed with the food, ate maybe a third of what I was served. The owner of the restaurant…

I just turned 58 a few days ago. I have lost 51 lbs, quickly ? Not by any means but what matters is, I did. CICO. Once I learned portion control and that feeling stuffed was not normal the journey was enjoyable each and every pound. Small goals help too. A lb a week or less was fine versus thinking I need to lose 50 lbs…

Wow !!! Congratulations on your lifestyle change AND the article on Huffington Post. Amazing. So happy for you and I don't even know you. I liked your idea about antique luncheon plates. I use smaller plates but boring. Time to find some pretty, interesting ones. Thanks for sharing your story.

Congrats to you ! Comparable story. I have lost 50lbs and kept it off almost a year and a half. Logging streak 1071 days. Knew absolutely nothing about nutrition, portion control, how many calories I should be consuming, etc. Best of all learned that not eating does not work for weight loss. Just a balance. Thanks as well…

Thank you. Just peachy02.

My husband. He passed away July 3rd. SO hard. It's terrible. Enjoy each and every minute. Because you just never know. Sorry to be a bummer post. Just had to respond.

Nothing tastes as good as being thin feels.

Age 57, female. 5'7. 134lbs. I have maintained my goal weight for 15 months eating 1300-1500 calories a day. Light exercise. Average about 8000 steps a day.

49 lbs lost here. Took a very long time. It is different for everyone. Make short term goals. Portion control. Lifestyle change. It is all up to you to lose it and keep it off. CICO, period. No magic. By any means. Good days, not so good days...just keep trying. Even .5/1 lb a week is great. Spending big money to lose…

No way, not possible, sorry. 6-8 lbs maybe. Unless you want to feel sick from under eating. Losing weight. Takes time, period, end of story.

Fitbit One. Had mine a little over a year now and it's great. Keep it in my pocket daily. Be careful though, small and easy to misplace or end up in the washing machine. Happened once for me but still works. Amazing. Saved $30-$40 buying new on ebay.

Pasta. Was my favorite. When I learned 2ozs was a portion I was shocked at how little it was, and quit eating it for awhile. Started eating it again, proper portion, and enjoyed every bite versus mindless eating. Fast forward almost two years. Now it's more than enough. A few times I have splurged with 3ozs and could not…

Salty/sodium here too. I bought a box of cheezit grooves crackers recently, ate one and thought...eww these are really nasty. In the garbage can the box went. And fried/breaded stuff.

My watch started flipping around like a bracelet, wedding ring fit again, and I had a collarbone ! I have lost 48 lbs. Size 12-14 down to a comfortable 8.

No expert by any means, but it's different for everyone depending on how active you are, etc. I have lost 47lbs and have been maintaining for a year now. I am lightly active at best and keep my carbs about 100, sugar 26, sodium 1500. Cutting carbs/ processed foods/ sodium was what worked for me. At first it was tough, but…
