He's a boy!

Found out that we're having a boy! Then my mom went a little nuts at the yard sales this weekend purchasing boy clothes  It was so neat getting to see him in 3D moving around! Now we can call him by his name instead of saying "it" the whole time

I got two bellybands (one black and one brown) from amazon.com for $20.

Gender scan tonight at 8pm! Fingers crossed that the baby's legs won't be ;)

My mom is springing for a 16 week gender ultrasound! I go tonight at 8pm, hope to find out what the little kiddo is, if it isn't clear then they'll let me go back for free later to find out.

It's a lot of money but it would also be priceless if necessary, sort of like insurance. I'm going to do more research into it.

Heading out for my 2nd trimester bloodwork screening, at least this will be a quick appointment!

Dude you are missing OUT. I hate every time there's a new Doctor but...that's sort of the point :) then the NEW one gets me to love them and I hate when they leave!

My parents spent a looooong time thinking up what horrible nicknames kids would be able to call me before finally settling on a name that had the least offensive attacks available lol. My husband and I have already come to an agreement about boy and girl names (although we're not allowed to tell until after the birth).…

Not sure how tall you are but taller women tend to have smaller bellies because theirs more vertical space for the baby to expand into. Found out the weight that goes to the thighs and butt is used to fuel breastfeeding so (hopefully) it all goes away relatively quickly when that starts after the birth! I'm at 15 1/2 weeks…

I agree with you to a point. There is a "Search" function on the Message Boards, so I'll get irritated (although I won't post because I'm a nice person) when someone has obviously not even tried to answer their own question before posting yet another topic on how to increase calories because they're full after 200 a day or…

There are a couple of groups on here for getting healthy to get pregnant! I think one is "Fit for Future Pregnancy" or something like that. They are really supportive and have a ton of information!

I now have three pairs of maternity pants to make it through work and a couple pairs of jeans/shorts to make it through the summer. Trying to not go overboard on clothes I'll only wear for a couple of months.

What kind of example?

Oh well I was wrong, no more u/s until 20 weeks *sigh* guess I'll just have to keep calling it "Kiddo" I did get to hear the heartbeat though, at 144 so nice and normal.

There is already at least one group - TTC- for future mommies to be!

Another ultrasound/check-up today...apparently it's possible to find out the sex at 15 weeks based on the angle of the phallus so I'm going to see if I can get an early estimation from the Doc! C'mon lil' kiddo, be an exhibitionist!

Found out the daycare center will do cloth as long as we provide a lined trashcan for them! Woohoo! Now I'm going to buy the diapering book so I can figure out EXACTLY what I need :) Hooray for savings!

I sure am! We're remodeling a room into the nursery (so the house is full of dust) but I've picked the "theme" and already started hunting on craigslist and yard sales to outfit it. Found a full pack n' play and a swing (with all the bells and whistles) and am looking for the nursery set now. Hoping that the only thing…

Hi again Katie! Glad to see you again :) HelenMelon - I went to a baby show this weekend that had lightly used items for sale and found a good number of gender-nuetral items like socks, some onesies, receiving blankets, etc. My mom has done most of the shopping :) We're bargain fiends so she's already gotten a pack n' play…

I just started my 15th week and I SWEAR I can feel this kid moving around even though I think it's too early? It's my first pregnancy so not sure if what I'm feeling is what I'm feeling!

There is a Search function in the forum posts and at least 200 topics asking for healthy ways to add calories to a diet. When you tell people you're full after 200 calories ya gotta expect some of the answers you've received because honestly it's not healthy. So always look for answers in the Search function before putting…

Have you tried a psychiatrist? You are seriously vomiting whenever you eat ANY vegetable? An ENTIRE food group...seems pretty darn extreme and sounds like it's linked to some kind of psychological trigger...
