Definitely stand up for yourself and what you want. There are hospitals in this country with an almost 50% C-section rate because it's more convenient for the doctors. If you don't want to be induced then make sure you're firm, especially two whole weeks early!

When I go in for the appointment (usually 5 minutes or so early) I ask immediately at the check-in whether I can pee then, they always let me, then I'm lighter for the weigh-in!

I'd had a feeling ours would be a boy. Funny thing is that my husband was sort of rooting for a girl, he was looking forward to the Daddy/Daughter relationship. I think he's actually more nervous now that he knows it's a boy!

Had my baby shower this past weekend and my sister didn't show, sent a text saying she'd forgotten about it about an hour after it started. She didn't even try to show up late once she'd figured it out. Blergh :grumble: Everyone ELSE had a good time and had great food, her loss!
