LMAO Oh good GOD. ::eye roll:: Anyone who believes this crock of crap is just as dumb as the people who follow other stupid weight loss and fitness advice out there.

I was going to say the exact same thing! I read an article once where they said you really can't eat there for under 1,000 calories and the sodium is awful---but planning is key. So yeah, half the option, get what you want (maybe make sure you have protein in there and not just carby noodles) and enjoy your meal out with…

I think the question is, why do you feel the need to do cardio twice a day?
-
HAHA you took my long winded response and condensed it down so much easier! :)

The thing is a heart rate monitor (HRM) is totally different from a Fitbit or Nike Fuel band. The HRM is programmed with your personal stats and records your heart rate during a workout and figures what you are burning in that time. The Fitbit, and I believe the Fuel band also, are only to track steps and give you an…

You know what, I did the exact same thing when my husband and I first started dating. i think I put on 10 pounds in two months! It was crazy. And then I went up from there. Thankfully my husband isn't a jerk and loves me for who I am and still wants everything to do with me even if I'm where I'm at today in my weight or…

I saw this topic thread as I was about to enter my lunch on the food tracker---the headline made me smile and I just had to visit! I bet you feel amazing and you should feel that way and you should be incredibly proud of yourself!! :) Congrats!

HAHA I was about to ask if you were crazy---it's free afterall :) But I get what you mean. While it doesn't take all that much to lose weight there are things in life to add to your weight loss journey that may make the loss happen faster or a little easier (Fitbit, HRM, cleaning out the kitchen). I personally don't know…

My own mother says I go to the gym too much. I go 5-6 days a week and I'm only there about an hour. It's not like I'm spending three hours each day and letting other parts of my life slack. I also have a significant amount of weight to lose (100+) so going 3 days a week (I see that more as a maintaining schedule) is not an…

I'd also like to second the stretching and foam rolling. But I too only really feel a 'burn' in my quads when I work them and I love lifting and use adequate weight when I train. You might also consult with your trainer and see if they have a good reason or explanation.

HAHA OMG this is so true!

So "ice cream crack" basically?! HAHA I'm glad I've never had that. I'd be in trouble. **Mental note to never taste for this reason!**
-
I find that if I don't keep it in the house I usually---usually----don't think about it and don't want it. Now there are days I want some ice cream and then I will go and get a SCOOP from somewhere and that's it. Otherwise if I had it in the house I'd turn it into many scoops. :o But I'd say soda, ice cream, chips…

In in the same wagon--but have a ways to go before I'm out of the "morbidly obese" category--but I'll make it! Congrats on all of your hard work and keep with the lifestyle you've created. :)

For all of those who want Bluetooth ear buds I hear these are fantastic and it's my little reward to myself once I hit 20 pounds lost :) http://www.jaybirdgear.com/ They're not cheap, but I hear they don't fall out and are great!

Holy crap was that a good rant! Granted I've never been told I look "skinny" because I've been overweight and then eventually obese (where I am now) so not like that would come up. But I hate - HATE - that word, "skinny". That word to me isn't healthy. That word to me doesn't mean one takes care of themselves. And it…

Not gonna lie, I like McDonald's. I know it's not good for me, but it triggers something from when my family would go eat there when I was a child. I bet we ate there maybe twice a month, it was rare, so it was a "treat" to go. Anyway, I understand that it creeps people out to have chemicals and who knows what else in our…

I don't know what I'd do without my HRM. I just got a new one, a Polar RS400 half price at my gym during a special challenge thing they're doing and I love it! I believe my previous workouts years ago before I bought a HRM in recent years---those workouts weren't burning enough calories and I wasn't working near as hard as…

I had just renewed Oxygen and Clean Eating and they're both linked to the same publisher/CEO and they're gone. Really ticks me off they can take people's money and run.

I just signed up Saturday actually and I'm going to be working with a trainer. I have no goal to win the thing. I think the results people get in those 90 days who win are just insane. Losing 100 pounds in 90 days, or even 50-80 is just crazy, and most likely not maintainable. I wish there was a better way to run the thing…

I want to be healthy. I want to stop worrying about, "Is a heart attack in my future?" "Do I have diabetes?" "Will I ever have children?" I have high cholesterol and triglycerides and I want to bring those numbers down as much as possible, even though the high numbers run in my family. I just want to FEEL better. I don't…
