  • For the bloat issue, Camilla Alves was just on RR & shared what her nutritionist told her, and that is to steep a handful of parsley in about 4 c water for 4-5 min, let it cool & drink that 4c daily for 3 days before the event.
  • I do a double apheresis donation at least once a month (has been as high as 3x) but started out giving whole blood. I usually try to get some protein & caffeine afterward as it takes a lot out of me. I don't feel extra hungry myself, if you feel like you need more food that day then go for it & don't stress it, after all…
  • I take Ferrous Fumarate, much easier on the tummy. I only take it at night, coffee will counteract an iron supplement. Vitamin C is supposed to help but not one I can take. I have to take a supplement, my iron drops so low that I can barely walk. Have also been 1 step away from a transfusion so don't let it get too low.…
  • I do apheresis (take out whole blood, spin out the platelets & plasma & put back what they don't want with an anti-coagulant) once a month, twice in slow months when they need me. I'm up to almost 22 gallons donated now. I close my eyes & take deep breaths when they put the needle in, I don't even feel it anymore. For the…
  • Awesome transformation, so proud of you! I grew up in the cities but now live in ND, we have people in town who bike all winter long, they have some serious tires though,
  • I Love my soda stream! I too am a seltzer/bubbly water girl, but refused to have all that plastic to recycle (we have to haul ours as we live out in the country) I've found I like it with a few dashes of bitters, or a tall mug with a few ounces of V-8 is a lot like a beer with v-8 ;) I too do the re-fill so far have only…
  • I've always been muscular but working on learning to lift now, would love to meet some new people :)
  • I love my Fitbit one

  • Back when I went to work, I did 4 10's & loved it. I did 6-2:30 so I still had lots of the day left once I got done for the day. :)
  • I have 2, with at least 1 more planned.
  • I don't have the Nike Fuelband, I do have the Fitbit one though & love it! it's small enough that it just lives in my bra all day. It does have a little holster with a clip if you want to wear it that way. It syncs up with MFP too. I too wanted something wearable, but didn't want everyone to be able to see it.
  • No on the monthly charge for it, I've never seen it add steps when I wasn't moving, I've even tried shaking it to see if it would add steps & it doesn't. I also did the pre-driving check & haven't had it add any steps during driving. It's far more accurate than the old style pedometer that used a weight to track steps. I…
  • I puree spinach & hide it in all kinds of things, chili is one of our favorites, it looks green at first but once it cooks down with the tomatoes & chili powder, it turns a normal chili color. I agree with the comment on Jessica Seinfeld's book as well. I have the first one & have made several of the things in there.…
  • I use Fage greek yogurt, has 130 cal & 23g protein per cup. only 9g of carbs & 0 fat. for protein powder I use EAS 100% whey, the build muscle version in vanilla, it has 150 cal & 26g protein in 2 scoops. I put both in a smoothie almost every day
  • I use Vegenaise
  • I put low sodium old bay seasoning in the water when i cook it, I also use the large rectangle tupperware with the vented top & in my microwave it takes about 24 minutes where regular white only took 20.

  • You look great! Can see great changes especially in your midsection. But why in your inches lost did you only add in 1 arm & 1 leg? Not trying to be technical but you should claim what you earned :)
  • For a really good "honey mustard" flavor just mix mustard & a little splenda, zero calories :) I usually thin it with a little water but I bet with greek yogurt it would be good too. I also mix up my own dry ranch dressing & my own taco seasoning & am thinking combining the two with some greek yogurt would be a really good…
