Happy Birthday.

I have been using my fitbit for a month now. SO I took the Average burn from the past month and subtracted 20%, which ended up being just under the like by 50 calories what F2T said my lightly active intake should be. SO I upped my calories to that. I had myself set at sedentary, guess that was wrong. I try to take at…

You mean my MIL is not the only person who thinks the cure for RA is just go on a diet. I swear that one annoys me to no end. I have told her so many times, Um when I was at my lowest of 76 kilos I still hurt all the dad gum time, infant worse. But no Jackie all you have to do is loose weight and your RA will go away. Oh…

A few articles on why BMI is flawed. http://www.theage.com.au/opinion/measure-for-measure-bmi-has-big-flaws-20090521-bh2s.html http://www.livestrong.com/article/99581-bmi-flawed/ http://www.angrytrainerfitness.com/2011/06/bmi-flaws-why-my-son-is-not-overweight/

So really 57.5 is right smack in the middle of your range, not far off of the 56 that is your goal.

I'm 162CM, when I looked up my healthy range I found out it was 52-66kg. Try looking up a range as opposed to a specific weight. And yes BMI is flawed. For 160cm it is 51-64kg. I got that from http://www.mydr.com.au/tools/IdealWeightCalculator I think it is more about fat % and how we feel than an arbitrary number.

Well Done!!! That is a great realisation to come to.

I think the last dozen eggs I bought I spent over $5.00 for. I do have to say I buy the barn laid eggs though.

I live in Australia as well. I am from the US though. I think one thing to remember is that Aussies, get paid WAY more, for the most part than they do in the US. Honestly the equivalent for her spending 100 a month would most likely be 200 here. Before I left 8 years ago, and yes prices have gone up since then. You could…

I actually meant to quote someone else. She was saying that what you did worked for her and yadayadayada. The point is that this for me a lifestyle change. I want to be fit and healthy at the end of the weight loss. Well as much as possible with a chronic disease that left me disabled. BTW I am in Australia as well. I have…

If it helped you the last time, then why are you here AGAIN?

Definitely speak to your cousin and the mother. In no way should a 12 year old ever be told to just put up with it. I would also sit your daughter down and have a talk with her. Let her know that it was not okay of the boy or his mother. It is never okay for anyone to be told to put up with unwanted attention or touching.…

I just found out about this group today. Have been using MFP since January, only been on the forums for a couple of weeks though. I have sever RA and have since I was 19 I am 37 now. I live in Australia and am currently doing okayish. My cocktail of drugs is doing what is should be I guess. Oh and my name is…

I have severe RA, will add you now. I'm actually stuck on the couch with a flare going on right now and very blah about it all.

It does not make you selfish it makes you a good momma. You and your son have to come first. Don't let anyone tell you, you are being selfish for making sure your son has food in his belly. That is just plain out right wrong of you BF to do.

I have Rheumatoid Arthritis and there are days I can't even get out of bed. SO yes it makes it very hard to stay fit. Another RA Friend of mine does chair yoga on her good days. She has more mobility problems than I do. The Arthritis Foundation in the US has some chair yoga stuff on their web page.…

Are stats are close. I am supposed to be the same height as you, but lost 3 CM due to spinal damage. I weigh more though. If you are eating below 1600 calories you probably need to up them hon. Again you CAN DO THIS. Oh and I am 37 as well. Have you had all your vitamins levels checked. That can also cause some problems.
-
Are you still on the steroids. I have Rheumatoid Arthritis and have to go on three day bursts on Prednisolone regularly. It is hard to take the weight off from the steroids, but like the thyroid it can be done. It takes a while. The last time I was on a three day burst I gained 3 kilos in 3 days while I was sticking to a…

I just started using my fitbit and I am just as confused as you. :-) I hope you can get some answers.

Oh and my MIL is the absolute worst person to be around when dieting. She wants to shovel food down our throats. Right after I started my diet my oldest daughter had her birthday. We had to go over to the MIL's house for a dinner. She wanted to give me coke and tea with sugar, and ice cream and so on. I ate the pizza for…

It does make sense. Again like you said that is on you. I understand that you need support. If you want me to friend you I can. I have 46 Kilo's so 101 pounds to get rid of. I didn't want to keep weighing the food but I did. That was all about my will power though. I too realised I needed to eat more, and some days I was…

The only reason I track my sugar is my heart rate. Because of medications I am on I have hypertension and a very high resting heart rate. By staying within the MFP sugar allowance I have cut my resting heart rate from 105 to 85 on average. Again that is my personal experience. Like others have said if you don't have a…

My husband didn't decide to join me til I had been doing this a month already. I made a decision for my health and made compromises. Like if I was going to fix them fried chicken I back or seared it for myself. I would have an exact serve of anything they ate. In other words I weighed everything. You can get a digital…
