  • Hey there, welcome! I saw on your profile that you're vegan and like junk food. I'm curious, what junk food is vegan? I'm vegetarian so for me chocolate and cheese are big weaknesses, I couldn't do without them :)
  • Well done on your loss so far. Good luck!

  • I'm vegetarian and lived on approx £7 per week during my first year of university but am an example for how not to do it. At the time the supermarket price wars were going on so my main diet consisted of toast (20p for a Tesco Value loaf) and beans (9p per tin, remember those days?). I was my lowest ever weight but looked…
  • Currently I'm less fat than 65% of UK females aged 15-29 but have more body fat than 62% of females globally. The good news is that in just a few months when I am 30 I will suddenly have LESS body fat than 55% of females aged 30-44. That's quite a big swing but I'm not complaining!
  • Congratulations on the 13lbs lost so far and having the willpower to give something up for 6 months. Are the soft drinks you have instead of alcohol low calorie? Just thinking that some juices and sodas are loaded with sugar so unless you go for a diet coke everytime your friend may not see the point in swapping alcohol…
  • Same here, I thought it looked liked a fox tail too. OP- You are taking it very well, I can't believe your mom sided with the friend :noway:
  • Back to the OP question I really wouldn't reccommend trying a second round. In fact, I'm pretty sure the information leaflet advises you to take a break after finishing the bottle. I tried Lipox6 Black For Her last year and I lost an extra pound a weekabove what I was already losing but felt nauseous and couldn't sleep…
  • I pack light as I live nearby: a towel, water and £1 for the locker. In the boot of my car I always carry around 2 badminton rackets and shuttles, climbing shoes, harness and kit.
  • Fantastic progress in 6 months, well done!
  • Hi, welcome to the site. I've read through your post and it sounds like you've got everything planned out, good luck with your journey. There are a few things I'd consider before starting: 1) If you go down the road of meal delivery are you confident that you won't be tempted to eat extras? I have a friend that did Diet…
  • I'm a long time vegetarian too and have recently started taking protein shakes. I'm using the choc mint flavour of instant whey from myprotein and it tastes amazing with about 18g of protein per shake (only 98 cals too). Good luck upping your intake.
  • Wow, inspiring stuff! We're the same height so its nice to see photos from each stage of your journey to keep me motivated. Thanks for sharing :)
  • The amount of oil my parents use to cook is a bugbear of mine. I've mentioned the amount of calories per spoon and usually get the reply 'But its olive oil, its healthy oil'. I don't push the issue though, when I visit them I fit in with their meal plans and wouldn't want them to go out of their way for me, I just make up…
  • Seconded- you look amazing and younger too. Congratulations!
  • Wow! You've transformed yourself, fantastic job.
  • I log diet sodas but not herbal teas. My reasoning is that even though diet sodas are low calorie they still have junk in them (e.g. aspartame), in comparison to my herbal teas which are caffeine free with nothing but dried fruit and natural flavourings.
  • The boards have a lot on eating back exercise calories and lots of members recommend it. Like you I also struggle to net 1200 on days that I exercise but I feel weaker the next day if I'm too far under. I've started taking protein powder after exercising and it adds a quick 100 cals + 20g protein back. As for whether…
  • I agree about getting a hrm if you want to be as accurate as possible but in the meantime you could just knock down the minutes- I feel the same about the burn rate for badminton so only put down 30-40 minutes for every 60 actually on court depending on how hard I've worked.
  • Wow, your stomach has just melted away. Great job!
  • Hi, and welcome. Hope you find the support and motivation to stick with MFP, I've sent you an add :)
  • Hi, I've never come across anybody that has drifted over summer before, I always drift over winter when I start eating stidy dinners and come Christmas the house is full of chocolate. Good luck keeping on track this summer, I've sent you an add and hopefully to everybody else in this thread :)
