Weigh the bowl pre-licking... Lick away... Weigh the bowl after... Et, voila. You know what you ate!

It's genuinely stressful for me to see the stuff he babbles on about... What he is doing is not harmless- he is a medical doctor who is giving out bad advice just for a pay cheque that people are going to believe and take on board which could actively harm them. If they are ill and ignore their doctor's advice in favour of…

He can do anything - the guy is a miracle worker! lol

Unfortunately now - making this post has impregnated my system with adverts for dr oz stuff.....

I'm from Huddersfield!

Haha perhaps it's too early for subtlety...

He's someone who despite his medical background likes to push 'the next big thing' fad diets and medicines. The guy backed homoeopathic medicines...which says all that needs to be said about him!

Not cervical cancer - but my mum has had breast cancer twice now, and I'm not gonna lie - the chemo made her feel pretty crappy - but she's the fittest 60 year old I know. Sounds corny but positive mental attitude I'm sure has a big impact. She's always one to just get on and do and not sit about moaning and I hardly…

Haha it's a Celica GTFour. It's nearly 19 years old but still going strong!

Haha, I'm currently overweight - aiming for obese though...

It's a compliment. Most of the time anyway.

People like to make the ridiculous comparisons of fat people and bodybuilders, but the truth is - if you are in the category of people who need to be concerned with BMI then it is probably pretty accurate for you. If you are fit and healthy and stacked, then you aren't going to be worrying about what category you fall into…

It's up to everyone else what they choose to do. Just like it's up to you what you choose to do. If they want to go to McDonald's, that's up to them, but until they start pinning you down and forcing the food into your mouth it is still your choice. Choose not to eat at McDonald's. Buy in some healthy food and stay home…

Well, to load the bar you just put the weight on it. Obviously don't lump it all on one side then the other or it might overbalance off the rack. Google to get technique. Watch youtube videos, and watch more than just 1 or 2 as some of them might not have perfect form themselves or might not explain it right. I like to…

Ibuprofen isn't great because it blocks both the COX 1 and COX 2 enzymes. COX 2 enzymes are largely responsible for the inflamation and swelling but COX 1 enzymes aid in muscle recovery, so in blocking those it is a detriment to your recovery. I have read that Celebrex and Vioxx only block the COX 2 enzyme so would be…

I did have poor grip strength before and so just started using double overhand grip for as long as possible. I ditched my gloves and now just use chalk when my hands start getting sweaty. I only switch to alternating grip for my last set, if that. The longer I've been doing it the easier I find it. It only took me about 2…

Keep doing everything without any grip aids - that will help. Also you can use 'white knuckling' which is where whenever you do any exercise where you hold the bar you squeeze it as hard as you can the whole exercise. here's a page actually with some ideas http://stronglifts.com/7-ways-increase-deadlift-grip-strength/

I know, right, and all that time relaxing he should be in the gym eh? Wasted minutes spent on enjoying life - what an idiot...

Just got the memory of the smell of the chewing gum and the chalky feel of it....

I think you missed the point there... I didn't say it would need to be on my schedule. It would upset me if my kids decided that what THEY wanted was for me not to be there.

I wish I had the free time and energy to comment on a post that I think is beneath me.

Absolutely it has higher density. The original quote was that muscle weighs more than fat though. They never specified how much of each and by what measurement, be it weight/volume or anything else. You assumed they were talking about equal amount of grams, I assumed they were talking about equal amount of volume. I used…
-
Who mentioned 1lb of anything vs 1lb of anything else? it is denser, and therefore weighs more when in equal volumes.
-
It's possible - as you've just started your body will be more prone to muscular hypertrophy. Also they will be filing themselves with water in which to repair themselves. However - whilst yes, muscle does weigh more than fat (God help anyone that tries to disagree with me about that statement), it is only by quite a small…

Need to show this to the gf - she has finally succumbed to my telling her to eat more (and include protein with each meal) but it will be cool just to show her I'm not making this stuff up!

The problem is that for it to work afterwards and for you to keep the weight off, you need to be in the frame of mind to change your lifestyle. But if you were in that frame of mind then you wouldn't need the band in the first place. You can lose the weight just as quickly by changing your eating habits so basically it is…

If I had a son or daughter who felt they had to do that I'd be absolutely gutted! If you and your parents are all happy about it then why make them miss out on it? Seems a bit thoughtless and selfish to me...

Sabotage, or business genius?!
