What Coolhand mentioned works for me actually - if I put something like string tied round where the tendon is then it's fine - only problem is it cuts off the circulation. I got an elbow support which also helped but I don't use it because it also aids your triceps in extending and I like to do weights with as little aids…

Haha no I can't - but I think maybe you should enter some competitions! Or at least get some bar bets going lol

It's ok, I'm allowed to be un-American being English. Captain Britain ftw lol

Because he's a liar and a cheat. You can't be that big of a clean cut hero and expect to only partially lose credibility when the truth comes out. He was a hero for more than just his cycling, it was the whole package. That has been proven to be broken so faith in him is lost.

I agree with this also - it's really difficult to guesstimate what your goal weight should be. When you get there you may well find that you need to lose more. My friend had to constantly re-evaluate his goal from initially 224lbs to 210 to 196 where he is now comfortable. Also that was 224lbs with a lot less muscle than…

People slate the BMI scale but it is largely at least close for most people. Basically, if you are of a body type that you need to check your BMI, then it is probably relevant for you. If you have a large proportion of muscle then you probably won't be worried about what your BMI is.

I'd mince your pies ;)

I have this in one elbow - if it is the same thing, but only in one elbow. It feels like a sharp stabbing pain and then after it cracks it goes away. Best way I can describe where it is, is if you take your right hand and feel the point of your left elbow. Then run up your arm from there and you can feel a tendon which…

Thing is - if it doesn't make that much of a difference then why take them. He did, gained an unfair advantage (albeit in a sport seemingly where he was less gaining an advantage, and more keeping up with everyone else). I think the thing that is most damning is that it doesn't seem as if he was caught up in part of a…

I like this kind of response... just for the record; **** those guys, you're hot!

I don't use machines, so I can't comment on routines. I would just say that if you are wanting to use it for any sort of strength you may find yourself more injury prone. Because you are only working specific muscles in isolation, the supporting muscles don't get worked and are therefore weaker in comparison to the muscles…

I understand about the safety issues, and perhaps the crime comparison was a bit flippant, but I still think it falls under the same category as match fixing for example. It goes on, but we still punish people. The matches are equally as exciting, or even more so with more goals etc.

A huge portion of ONE team tested positive...I don't see how that scales up to it being prevalent across the whole sport..... Layne Norton is debatable. His physique is far from unattainable naturally. 700lb deadlift however is massive for a natty. Who knows. Also between olympic lifting/powerlifting. The point is the same…
-
There may be cases of it, but that is far from saying it is prevalent. I stand by my point that just because some are using, that isn't a case to legalise it for everyone. Some people commit crimes and yet we don't feel the need to legalise that.

The gist I get is that the 2nd dude, she really liked. The 3rd dude has plenty of money. She should sack the current dude off and go after the old one. If it works out she will be happy she made the decision and if it doesn't, well even if she stays with the fiancée she will always resent him because it prevented her from…

If that is the case, then that is a crappy situation to be in. I don't believe it to be the case. Maybe in American Football and Baseball it may be, but not in all sports.

The problem with having drugs in sports is that it then becomes, who uses the best drugs. The competitions is no longer about the best athlete, but about the best scientist. If you take them out entirely then the achievement is entirely down to people. Obviously, it's practically impossible to wipe it out entirely, but to…

Firstly - free weights are better than machines. That aside - you should be aiming for a weight where you can physically not do more than around 12 reps. Once you can do 12 of a certain weight, up the weight so that you can only do around 8 and work back up to 12 again. As mentioned above - form is crucial. If you don't…

I presume it was my comment being referred to, and I wish more people would realise this. It's fine to set a number as a bit of an aim and just keep adjusting on the way but no one can really know what target to aim for without years of experience and even then, it's just estimation. The key is muscle growth/retention and…

Because it's just maths really. At the end of the day you should have a calorie deficit of (say) 500 calories. You burn calories when exercising so if you did not eat these back then the deficit would be more than 500 calories. So as a mathematic equation, intake - expenditure = -500 If your normal daily activity uses 2000…

The fat loss comes from a calorie deficit. So you, in the course of the day, use say 2000 calories. If you then eat 1500 per day you will be under by 500 cals per day. So then if you work out you might use 3000 cals that day. You would then be 1500 cals under. That is just the same as if, on a 2000 cal day, you ate 500…
