1. I've been keeping a journal since I was about 12. 2. I try to write something every night but that varies depending on what's going. Some times I write pages and pages and other times only a brief note. I only wrote about 5 times in 2007. 3. I like to use very specific notebooks…

I've found that the most successful way to get them to stop is to just smile sweetly and say "I'm glad that's working for you." It saves an argument and they think they've imparted their wisdom and usually give up.

I would consider increasing your water intake and decreasing your sodium. Keep going!

I knit, crochet and do a bit of sewing. I also do chutney and jam making. I can't throw away anything with buttons, zips or ribbon on without stripping it off!

{hug} :flowerforyou: I'm sure someone will be along with some top advice soon but have you told the doctor how your feeling? Also, I know you might not want to make it all public, but how would you feel about telling people IRL about what's going so they back off and stop putting the pressure on? Edited to add: Wow! I'm a…

How rude! That's the kind of situation where you think of the perfect put-down about 3 hours later as well isn't it! Don't give that rude jerk another thought, you're doing great. :flowerforyou:

Well done!! One word - Ebay! Flog them on and get yourself a new pair.

Totally agree. Mine get a healthy diet of proteins, carbs and dairy with loads of fruit and veg but I don't buy them low-fat anything. They barely sit still for a minute and need certain fats for good brain development. I also never buy sugar-free juice as I try and avoid them having artificial sweetener. Luckily they…

I really love you Dad.

Welcome to MFP :flowerforyou: I'm glad to hear you are on the road to recovery and hope you continue your good progress. I'm trying to lose weight but feel free to add me as a friend if you want some company on your journey.

Mine's public too if you want a peek.

Im in Gloucestershire, sign me up if you like

The thing that's helped me is keeping my diary public and logging everything. When I'm tempted I think of my MFP friends reading it and shaking their heads (I'm sure they wouldn't but it helps me). I'm aware of my trigger foods - i.e. I can eat a whole pack of biscuits if I'm dunking them in coffee so I don't drink coffee…

I think you should just keep doing what you've been doing. Whether it's cheating or not is irrelevant really - you're in it for the long, slow, successful race whereas they'll probably be back where they started in a few months. That makes you the true winner. btw - I wouldn't count that as cheating.

Yay! That's what I'm looking foward too - being able to go into any shop and not have the staff look at me with an expression of "Good luck finding anything to fit you in here love!" on their faces. Have a great time shopping

Great post! Hubby is happiest at my new found love of MFP because even though I've only lost 6 of the 40lbs I'm aiming to lose, I'm starting to feel way hotter than I did before and he's reaping the benefits

I'm in the UK too. Feel free to sign me up

I track in grams. I've got a set of super-sensive scales that will measure grams or ounces but i stick with grams. When I search for foods in the list I look for entries that have a 1g option and then just input however many grams I've eaten. Have a look at my diary if you like, it's public. If the food I want only has a…

Mexican bean burger, cous cous and salad. My diary's public if you want to check it out.

Well done! Great job! I've packed a pair away with my winter clothes that I can't pull up at the moment. I'm hoping they'll be too big in autumn

Welcome to MFP :flowerforyou: Don't feel guilty, get logging in your diary and you'll start to see a change before you know it.

Hi, welcome to MFP! :flowerforyou: I tend to weigh on a saturday and log it then. I also do a little mid-week one to make sure I'm going in the right direction. I also weigh and log everything that I eat and drink and keep my diary public. If ever I think of eating the half pack of oreos that I used to put away, I think of…

I tend to plan ahead by a day (really anal I know!) and if I have a bigger lunch, I'll have a lighter dinner. I try and stick to what I've planned and then edit and delete where necessary before completing it.

I'll add you! I joined last july but didn't really get involved in the boards or make any friends and I stopped visiting pretty quickly and put the weight that I'd lost back on. I came back about two weeks ago and have thrown myself into it and I feel much more positive than I did last time. Having friends and getting…

I came back to MFP after being away for nearly a year. I've not had crisps or chocolate in two weeks It's not much but I'm back on MFP and feeling really positive so that's definitely my biggest accomplishment in may.

I've just started in earnest and am making little changes at the moment. I figure that if I changed everything in one swoop I'm not going to stick with it. e.g. - previously I would have 90-100g porridge oats made with milk and covered in brown sugar. Now I'm having 50g porridge oats made with water and raisins so no sugar…
