I've lost 97 pounds over 20 months. Consume about 1500 calories/day. Walk a minimum of 10,000 steps/day (Fitbit) and do strength training 2 x per week. Yes, it is slow, but I never feel that I am on a diet. It's a way of life, so I think it will last this time. I don't feel deprived.

I make steel cut oatmeal in the crockpot. Make multiple portions and divide it for use during the week. I put the coconut oil in the hot oatmeal, mix in some chia seeds, splenda brown sugar, and top with a banana. Yum!

I am totally devoted to Fitbit and logging 10,000 steps per day. As much as I dislike walking on the treadmill, I did it when the weather prevented outdoor walking. The results after 1 year : 82 pounds gone.

I am 63 and started in January 2012. I went to Canyon Ranch in Tucson for a Weight Loss Program. I learned so much...and got my head screwed on straight for this journey. I'm currently down 63 pounds, with about 67 pounds to go. It's slow, but has become habit. When I look at calorie intake vs calories burned, I should be…

Doctor reduced my daily meds. Lipitor went from 80 to 20 mg. Metformin from 3 pills to 1 (hoping to eliminate completely).

Yes, it is the best thing that has happened to me "transformation." I've been using it since March. Keeps me motivated to get my steps in. Monitors my sleep. I wouldn't be this far along without it. I was only getting in 3000-3500 steps per day, but now I am a consistent 10,000+ steps. Well worth the price!

Omg...I thought I was the only one to do that! I flew recently and the flight attendant noticed I had one. She wanted to inspect it to see if it was "regulation.". Asked where I got it; told her EBay. I was mortified in front of everyone in the area. I do understand this NSV...congrats!

I went to a Nutritionist. I thought that I was fine with my breakfast choice: special K, fruit and skim milk. I've switch to oatmeal or Kashi Go Lean with fruit. Needed more protein in the AM so that I wasn't starving by lunch time. Learned when that happened, one craves fats and carbs. I now have a mid-morning snack of…

I, too, had a struggle until I bought a Fitbit. I'm not ready to go to a gym and feel that walking is the best exercise for me. It clips on to my torso and measures activity. I was doing about 3000-4000 steps per day. I am now at a goal of 10,000 per day. It is very motivating and it syncs with MFP.
