See and I've been wondering the same thing because mine says I burn way more than I thought I did. I jogged for 20 minutes and it said I burned 350 calories... I usually take whatever the machines at the gym tell me and cut it in half, but my HRM says they were right on all along. I'm 193 and 5'8" I have always had a…

Yes it exists I promise! Haha. I love Country and I'm not ashamed of that. There's some great stuff in there. I wish the guys at my gym were supportive. They're not mean or anything but there's two reactions, either they're way too friendly (*cough* creepy) or they stare at me like I'm a purple spotted unicorn and they…

I used to have this scale (before I moved) and trust me when I go buy one tomorrow this will be the one I get again! Mine now sucks, but I loved that scale, it was accurate, reliable, and very trustworthy. Wheter it tells you what you want...that's all up to you and how hard you work haha. :)

I just actually found out that mine is totally NOT accurate... not even close and it thinks I always weigh the same, no matter what... :( So I'm getting a new one tomorrow!

Music all the way! Upbeat country music or classic rock with a good beat. It helps me focus! I work out at the gym on base (I'm in the military) and if I venture anywhere but the elliptical section I'm usually the only girl. Headphones save me from awkward turtle moments. Uh... oh you were using that 15 lb weight? But I…

SHORT! I always preferred clean cut guys anyway and now that I'm in the military and that's all I see shaggy hair just looks messy and unkempt to me. I love military short hair on guys and an absolute must is that they keep the neckline cleaned up. Messy hair on a guy just looks lazy and teenager-ish to me.

' Hahaha and then you leave, people break it and I fix it.

That massage idea sounds great! To those who dismiss the rewards idea, I know for me at least this is my way of breaking my habit of using food as a reward. (Like if I get x,y,z done this week I get to go out for dinner and get cake, and a margarita, and whatever else I want...) Using food as a reward is a horrible idea…

I'm in the Navy :) I'm an electronics technician! I never would have thought those words would apply to me, but they aren't kidding when they say they'll train you haha.

At the end of the summer before I was in a car accident I was working out 10-14 times a week, including morning PT (military), afternoon gym sessions and 4x a week softball! I felt amazing!

I'm 5'8'' and when I started MFP in Feb 2008 I was weighing in at 230. I got down to 164 at my smallest, and I had a lot of muscle tone and I felt great! I've gained back about 20-25 lbs due to a car accident injury that left me incapacitated for a while and unable to work out, but I'd really like to get down to 165 again.…

I totally do this. It made me laugh. I try to not overthink things but it doesn't work haha

That's great! I know scale victories are great but the clothes sizes are the best wins!

Thanks guys. This has been a really hard month for me, and I'm still just sort of in a daze. Everyone comments on how happy I seem, but really it feels like I just don't feel anything, sad or happy. I know it'll just take time and I'm doing my best to take care of myself. I weighed in yesterday and I've lost 5 lbs in the…

The military insurance won't pay for a fertility work up uless you've had 3 miscarriages... My doctor is trying to skirt the system a little but there's only so much he can do.

I know I'm not pregnant again, I just lost the baby around New Year's and my boyfriend left for deployment a few days before that so there's no chance of that... They are looking at my horomones and thyroid and such but it's just so frustrating that it was so soon. I only gained about 5 lbs during my pregancy but as soon…
