Fitbie listed the 'Paleo diet' as one of the top 10 worst diet fads of the year. It's just another version of the Atkins diet - minus a few things. Yes, you will lose weight but good luck maintaining afterwards. IMO the best 'diet' is one you can live with for LIFE. It's called moderation, eating within your means (as in..…

I 'graduated' from c25k in Nov. after starting in APRIL! I fell, broke some bones and had a few other issues that set me back, but I got right back into it and finished. :) Now I'm doing 5k to 10k, treadmill version, based on time rather than distance. It is c25k free by Zen labs, with the 5k to 10k starting at week 9. I…

I didn't read all of the posts but I do have a question. I don't understand how you can work out for 60 or 90 minutes at your weight and only average 109 bpm? Even when I was 180, my pulse would shoot up to 160 if I walked 20 feet. Now that I've lost 40lbs, my pulse is much lower but I still probably average at least 130…

I'm going to buy a new, black Camaro. I'm not feeling the love with my Explorer. Yeah, I like it but...

To shrink my waist even more, create a bucket list, make the world a better place for at least one person each day and to run a 10k or local 1/2 marathon next spring.

Add up the calories of all that stuff you ate and go burn it off, doing whatever you do to exercise. Not that you shouldn't EVER have treats, you should! That thought just makes it easier for me to 'walk away'.

I used C25K Trainer FREE, if it's the one by Zen labs. I love it and I'm doing their 5k to 10k bridge now.
-
Do it! If you can already jog 3-4 minutes, you'll do fine! I'm 51 and finished it, now I'm working on 5k to 10k. :)

I didn't read all of the responses so I'm sorry if this is a repeat... For one thing, you need to slow down. Jog as slow as you can! You can add speed later. Try C25K, (couch to 5k). Zen labs has a free app and you can use it and listen to music too. I used the treadmill version that is based on time, not distance. If you…

Yeah, I have anywhere from 15-90+ guests at my home for Christmas so I burn enough calories to eat whatever I want. But, even if I didn't burn the calories, I would still feast and celebrate Christ's birth with family, food and gifts!

I know where this came from. hehe. But yes, my girls had dump trucks, tractors, etc. in their sandbox, played on 4 wheelers, shot guns AND played with baby dolls and makeup as they grew up. They are fine. :)

I walked, ran and biked all summer and my waist shrank by several inches without dropping one pound. For me it's all about losing more fat. That is all I have to lose there!

I'm a mom/grandma, not a dad but I'll put my 2 cents in anyway. First of all, playing with a doll will not make your son gay. 2nd, why on earth would anyone give a child a gift that he could choke on? Stuffing coming out and the head fell off? Shame on them for giving it to him and shame on you for letting him have that…

True!

I think I did in the 80's but only because I had to wear one to work. lol

That's almost scary! Too funny. Thanks for posting it. :)

Oh my gosh! How fun! I love it! lol

Use it in the app store! Then use Pandora instead. It's free and you can pick your channel.

You should post a pic of your favorite! lol
-
Wow you all make me feel so old! My kids watched the cartoons you are posting about! lol I guess my fav. was the one with Wiley (sp) coyote and roadrunner. I imagined those ACME anvils landing on my brother's head. :)
-
That sounds like a lot more fun! :)
-
That is too funny! You need to have someone take a picture of your group. And Christmas undies? Hilarious! :)

I'm sorry this is so long.. I LOVE having mine! It inspires me to work even harder because I can see those cals burned that are based on my age, weight, height, pulse, etc. so I know it's more accurate. I am not an average sized person (short, small boned), so it helps to have this extra tool to help me lose weight. I have…

You're worth the effort! One thing I did early on that helped was to eat just the white of boiled eggs when I was hungry. It filled me up and they only have 17 cals for one large egg white. After about 2 wks of doing that I was fine. Good luck, you can do this!

Sorry, I have more than 1! #1 I'd have my husband's terminal lung disease disappear. My mother would no longer have alzheimers and she would never argue with me again. My son would get hired at the interview he is at right now. Our grand-daughter who is being delivered in 2 days will be healthy and his mama would recover…

You can die from water intoxication! Get checked for diabetes, that amt. just plain isn't normal! You don't need that much water unless something is wrong with you.
-
Go and burn 175 calories doing whatever you do to exercise. Decide if those calories are worth it, then figure out what you want to do.
-
You're worth the effort! If your hubby doesn't like it, don't talk about it in front of him.

I absolutely hate mornings and have NEVER liked getting up early! If you have a friend you can workout with, it's a bit easier because you know they will be waiting for you. Somtimes that is all that will get me up. Have your clothes, ipod, etc., ready the night before, that way you can get dressed faster, even though…

3 times a day and 7 days a week, unless we are going out for dinner! Then we do it afterwards too. lol
