Hey there! I’m also starting over and looking for friends! Sending an add your way
-
It's amazing how much younger you look since losing so much weight. :D

x_T;; Drive-By - Train I would like to rip my own brain out and scour it with steel wool. This is not a drive-by-ey-ey-ey-ey.
-
He had deleted me from his facebook account ..he then added me but has restricted ..I can't see his info or photos.. Pretty sure the relationship is over. Get the **** out of there. There is no need for you to stay and allow yourself to be treated that way.

649/1800 Had a week off and my general exercise goals have changed since then. x3 I'll do better the next time around.
-
Oh yeah, that is completely normal. xD You can't be in perfect agreement over everything.
-
Yes of course her opinion applies only to her... except that she is applying it to other people. Okay, hang on, backtracking a little before I say something totally unintentionally stupid: The real argument in this thread is how the word is being used, right? According to you she is using it entirely literally. Edit: I…
-
This argument bothers me. xD Yes, looking up the definition is very clever but this is a disambiguation of the word. The way it's being used here is almost colloquial. Uhm... it's like saying Goth is a Germanic tribe, therefore is not a fashion subculture.
-
You fully missed the point. A binge is a matter of perception. It's not the number that makes the binge it's the emotion tied to it. What most of the people in this thread are talking about is the emotional aspect of it, not the literal dictionary definition.

I'm going to get a great big side tattoo. It's too flabby now but when I'm done it will be a perfect spot. :D
-
I like Runkeeper a lot. I have it on my Android phone. Not only does it keep track of time and pace it also has GPS so it maps for you. :D Might be neat to have while exploring NYC.
-
Me too! The texture was really cool. *bump*
-
I love Bozeman! :D I get a bit freaked out over just walking on my road because of how scary the drivers are.
-
It's only bad if you find yourself becoming very upset over it. At that point it's time to take a step back, breathe and figure out where the problem is.
-
Things just didn't turn out the way I thought they would. That's... ominous.
-
There's a big assortment of reasons why this could be happening. Take a skim into the plateau threads in the forum, they're pretty helpful. Some of the things they recommend are, Upping your calories for a bit. Taking on more intense workouts.(careful with that one) Really evaluating food choices. Taking a week off to eat…
-
It wouldn't bother me because I trust him entirely. Also he's the sort of person who would be extremely uncomfortable in that sort of situation so it's not anything I have to think about anyway. xD Edit: Nope, I'm wrong. If he started going "just because" I would be uncomfortable. Stag nights, birthdays, whatever- but not…

4/10 40 426/1800 >.< When I started this challenge I was easily doing 60 minutes a day. Things have slowed considerably. I'm not going to change my goal, I'm going to keep at it- But I'm not as confident as I was in the beginning.

Chunky salsa! :D

This. I hate most TV depictions of mental illness. There was an episode of House that made OCD sound like a terminal illness. :/ I raged. I think most people feel this way about subjects they are intimately familiar with. My dad can't watch any shows about firefighters because it pisses him off how far off base they get.
-
Can she refer you to someone who can help?
-
That is so hard. Watching someone hurt so badly and not knowing how to help or what to do- or not being able to be content with "just wait" is pure torture. I hope he finds a way to understand. <3
-
I'm sorry you feel that way. :( Maybe though he was trying to be helpful. It's hard seeing the situation from the outside and sometimes it's easier to grasp as a chemical problem, therefore it's easiest to suggest trying some vitamins or a medication. I get what you said before though that it made you feel robotic. :( Some…
-
Oh! Another thing: Severe chemical imbalances need to be medicated. >.< Try arguing that with someone who doesn't believe mental illness exists.
-
I'm glad you have someone sticking with you through it. :) My partner and I have been together for almost 11 years and he's seen the top, the bottom and the breakdown of the rollercoaster.
-
Several times in high school, once as an adult. There's a kind of horrible permanence to mental illness. It can be managed but never really "goes away". I'm a pretty excellent blend of bi-polar II, PTSD, and generalized anxiety. The fact that it affects EVERYTHING is so hard to communicate. The dietary changes and exercise…

I was confused by that too.
