  • At 35 I was way too fat for mini skirts, at 40 I'm not so hell yeah!! I'm wearing them!
  • I so agree with this. I've been doing it over a year now and my arms still do different things than the instructor. I can't seem to coordinate the top and bottom of my body. The great thing about it is that nobody cares. It's not a dance class, there's no performance, as long as you're moving about and pushing yourself…

  • I prefer costumes to regular clothes
  • Hey, we're in good company  Nice to see you can still look sexy with no waist
  • I don't have many 'before' pics, I only joined MFP after losing a significant amount of weight already so had no reason to take any (and lots of reason to avoid the camera) This is the worst I have, I'm about 15st (210lbs) on this one And this is me a few week ago at about 10st (140lbs). Never in a million years did I…
  • According to this site I'm a medium height slender build and got advice on dressing for my enviable shape and small bust  , even though I specified LARGE bust. The only thing I clicked 'small' on was hips. Well, it obviously lies to make me feel better, I'm an apple plain and simple!
  • 2lbs down today  2 more to go to hit my goal weight. Good luck everyone

  • I tried it several years ago because I love milkshake so figured it would be a good way for me to diet. Honestly, they made me feel sick and bloated. I think the only thing it had going for it is that its easy. I only had to think about 1 meal a day rather than 3, and it was easy to take to work for lunch. You can only try…
  • I have no suggestions (although tying it to the leash sounds like a plan) but just want to commend you on even asking this. Where I live so many people just leave their dog's poop in the street and it drives me mad. Yay for considerate dog owners :drinker:

  • Californication - RHCP. It's the one song I can do where I actually sound OK. I'm partial to a bit of Arctic Monkeys too, I DON'T sound that OK doing them but I have the accent
  • Wow!!! She really doesn't get it does she? She still thinks all the hate mail is due to her looks and not her attitude. Talk about contradicting yourself! First life is so hard for an uber-hottie because women hate on you all the time, then it's a few isolated incidents over many years... hmmmm.... I'm sure we could all…
  • I'm going to assume this is an attempt at humour and just say we don't need em, we're bang tidy without a day at the salon
  • Wow!! You looked good before but now you look fantastic!!! Well done and congrats on being so committed x
  • I used to have one, I think the oldest thing in it was a sparkly top I bought about 20 years ago from a flea market. It was too small then, I didn't try it on, but I loved it so I kept it. It's been sitting in a box of 'too small' clothes for years as I got bigger and bigger, and now it fits!! Luckily I'm not a fashion…

  • It wasn't a rude premise, it was just a question from a person expressing an opinion different to yours. He didn't post it in a rude way, if anything I found it a little self deprecating and got the impression he wasn't deadly serious. OK, That's all, I have nothing to add but I hate to just type 'bump'. I wanna see how…
  • Yeah I guess it is clean eating for the most part. It wasn't slow for me though, I regularly lost 2-3lbs a week. That was when I had a lot to lose, it would probably be slow now.

  • Yeah, I get this after a Chinese meal, always 3lbs up the next day. Don't worry, it comes off almost as quickly if you get back on track. It's not real weight, it's water retention from all the salt. Give it a couple of days and it should be gone :)
  • I did Slimming World and lost 2 stone, you don't count calories at all on there so there's no concept of eating back exercise calories. I think it's a healthier way of doing things than calorie counting as you just eat healthy foods for the most part and never have to be hungry as a lot of foods are unlimited. I'm now…

  • This is the first I've heard about rice being bad for you (probably because I don't read stories about 'bad food' or I'd never eat anything!) I have a 'normal' diet, I'm not overly concerned with the latest health fad / scare. I find it all a bit too much when what I'd previously considered a healthy food is being slammed…
  • I do hope you're attempting to do humour here
  • I'm an apple: slim-ish legs and arms, narrow hips, big bust, ribcage and belly. I have a before and after pic in my profile and a recent pic of how I look now (the 'droog' pic is the most recent). Feel free to have a mooch. I still have a big belly, probably always will have as I'm almost at my goal weight, but the right…
  • Punching your sister repeatedly in the face would burn a few calories  Seriously, don't let her comments affect how you see yourself. You're doing this for you, not her. Leave her to whatever issues she has going on that she has to be so critical of you and focus on feeling better about yourself. Perhaps your sister…
  • Hard to say as it's usually a Chinese buffet meal so I have to make a wild guess. I'd say it's likely to be 3000+ though, lots of fried stuff and peanut satay sauce and a dessert. I do log it but it's really just to remind myself, the calories are purely guessed at. I don't worry about my cheat day as I've been losing…
  • Yeah, willpower isn't my strong point and I have trouble with moderation when it comes to certain foods. This why I have a list of things that CANNOT be in my house: Any sort of cakes Biscuits Bread and cheese at the same time (I can have one but if I have both I'm likely to go mental with cheese on toast) I find if I…
