  • I've had this said to me a few times now. I honestly think it's meant in a nice way and that people are concerned but it's really hard to explain to them 'yeah, I look fine in my clothes but underneath... not so much' They just see me way smaller than I was and fitting into regular size clothes. They don't see what I see.…
  • Just a note: There's a newer thread for this weeks weigh ins (12/3/12) and there will be a new one for each week so we can keep all our current WI posts together
  • It's just as easy to hit the back button as it is to hit the report button. I may find some people slutty, annoying, attention seeking or whatever but reporting them? No way! That's arrogance in the extreme: 'I don't like it therefore no one else should see it'. You have great legs BTW
  • I have 1 little black dress which I've had about year and only worn it twice. It's really nice but it only looks nice with shoes. I don't like shoes, I have one pair specifically for this dress but I'm really not a shoe person, I wear either wedge sandals or biker boots. I'm with you on grey, I have tons of grey clothes,…
  • I have a huge sweet tooth, particularly for chocolate. I used to eat it every day and get terrible cravings. Now instead of having chocolate I have some chocolate cereal as a snack most days. OK it's not the healthiest of alternatives but it is better than a bar of chocolate, I get some calcium and vitamins with it and…
  • I'd say a binge has less to do with how many calories are consumed and more to do with how in control you are. I have days when I eat way over my calories but it's planned (e.g. a meal out or party) or otherwise I count treats into my weekly amount. I haven't had a true binge since starting my weight loss. I used to binge…
  • Well done everyone, some great losses this week  And for those who didn't get the numbers they wanted, here's to a new week and some serious lb-kicking :drinker: See you all next Monday x
  • On your home page there's a link on the left hand side that says 'Weigh-in' Click on that, enter your new weight in the box and 'save changes' It should then show up on your ticker BTW, 3lbs is an excellent loss, don't knock it
  • I know right? Thought the same thing myself
  • Ah I see what you did there, but no, 28 is my birthday not my age :)
  • Sorry to hear about your toe, that sounds painful as hell :flowerforyou: Here's to a speedy recovery x
  • Abbdul: Can't see your face but maybe around 24?
  • 1 or 3 (with a bit of 2 minus the sticky-out veins). I like curvy, thin or athletic looking bodies but 3 is more attainable for my shape.
  • OK I'll start this week's 1lb loss this week  Best of luck everyone xx
  • This ^^^ And also comfort. I don' t go to a gym but when I do Zumba I prefer to wear something tight, cycling shorts and a tight vest usually. I'm not showing off (I don't have a perfect body but I look OK in them) but baggy stuff when exercising is just uncomfortable to me. I'd hate to think people were sneering at me and…
  • You can't help you're attracted to. Of course things like personality, sense of humour come into play as you speak to someone and get to know them but plain old physical attraction isn't something you can reason or be politically correct about. Some people find fat attractive, some repulsive, just the way it is. There are…
  • P Jilly: Same here, I have tiny wrists, feet, long thin fingers, narrow hips but a really broad back and big ribcage. I'm 2 sizes bigger on the top than the bottom. I'm hoping with a bit more work this will translate to a nice athletic looking body like yours in your profile pic rather than the big ol' man back I'm seeing…
  • A friend of mine said 'I don't eat enough vegetables, I eat tons of salad though'. We then proceeded onto a discussion about whether salad is vegetables which involved lots of pointing and laughing. (I'm only posting this coz she'll probably see it and I'm evil to my friends ) Love ya hun x
  • Yep, in the UK, thick means stupid.
  • I'll run the forum if you like. Best of luck in your new job, what will be your WI day be now?
  • I log it as high impact aerobics. The calories burned on MFP show lower than on zumbacalories.com but I'd rather err on the side of caution. I don't often eat back my exercise calories anyway but I up my cals by about 200 on exercise days. I think both sites overestimate calories burned TBH,
  • That's gotta be the best profile pic ever!! You look great, well done x
  • I would try and drop it in the conversation without being too direct (I'm not the most confrontational of people). Maybe use myself as an example like: 'Wow, when I logged my food the other day I couldn't believe how many calories is in a slice of bread / easter egg!!' OK, it's not that subtle but I can still deny that I…
  • It weighs more by volume, so 2 people can weigh the same but the one with more muscle will look leaner than the one with more fat. Nothing weighs more than anything else unless you mean by volume. Lead doesn't weigh more than feathers. The 'muscle doesn't weigh more than fat' people are just being pedantic, they know what…
  • Awww thanks. It was my carnival costume and I love it too, I don't look like that all the time but I secretly wish it was acceptable to do so :ohwell:
  • Oh how I wish this one were true. Don't you hate it when you don't enjoy your dinner? I feel like it's such a waste of calories
  • Noticing other things I dislike that were previously eclipsed by being fat, like my belly is too flabby, my face is weird, my hair is too thin :grumble: Seriously I need to get a grip and have a wee word with myself!
  • Mine is me in my Carnival costume a couple of weeks ago. Clockwork Orange. Carnival is over now but I can't bring myself to change it yet because I loved loved loved the costume :)
  • Why is it always the people who look fantastic who say 'Don't be mean'?? You look fantastic BTW, well done
