  • Asparagus (Pictsweet Szechuan, roasted, steamed, just any way any time) and Sugar Snap Peas! I have about 20 recipes for sugar snaps and I keep trying new ones and love every stinking one of them!
  • After adding my "extras", mine made 4 overflowing ramekins, so easily serves 4-5
  • Cottage Cheese Quiche and Szechuan Asparagus (Pictsweet brand) 2 cups cottage cheese 2 beaten eggs mix together and add quiche like "stuff". I added lump crab meat, green onion, slivered almonds, mozzarella cheese (just a tbsp to melt on top). I loaded into 4 ramekins and baked for about 35 minutes @ 400 degrees. So good!

  • Oh my! I decided to try this. I added 8 oz. lump crab meat, green onion, and slivered almonds. I topped it with about a tbsp of mozzarella cheese. It made 4 large raminkins, overflowing so 4 servings, 5 if you put less in each raminkin. It is WONDERFUL! Baking it (I baked for about 35 minutes at 400 putting cheese on…

  • Just MADE sorbet this weekend and it was really good! 12 oz. frozen raspberries 1/4 cup sugar 1/4 to 1/2 cup water Put raspberries + sugar and 1/4 cup water in food processor and pulse until smooth. May need to add a bit more water. I added about 2 additional tablespoons. Put into freezer container and freeze. This served…
  • Well in my opinion, slow cooking is a total waste of a tenderloin! It's the pork equivalent of beef tenderloin and I'd NEVER crockpot that. I usually roast mine. I just open the package, make a paste of dijon mustard, loads of minced garlic and a teaspoon of olive oil. I smear that all over the top and sides of the…
  • the water is to re-hydrate the sun dried tomatoes per the recipe on the web site.

  • I tend to agree with this. I don't participate much except posting to these boards. I don't usually send individual messages to people because I don't know them, don't know what I'd say to them and I'm not an "atta boy" kind of poster. I don't really care to read my feed if it's full of posts from people that I really…
  • My "go-to" breakfasts that I recycle over and over: English muffin + 2 slices bacon + 2 poached egg yolks (I HATE egg whites...) English muffin + PB + banana Steel cut oats with slivered almonds and Splenda brown sugar blend Cheerios (1/2 PB Cheerios + 1/2 Chocolate Cheerios) + Almond milk Breakfast pizza (egg + hash…
  • If you can afford around 400 calories: Linquine with Guacamole 6 oz uncooked linquine 1 ripe avocado 2 tbsp lime juice 2 large cloves garlic 3 tbsp salsa 1 jalapeno pepper (if you want heat; if you don't, omit) fresh cilantro to taste (I don't like cilantro so I don't use) coarse salt and pepper to taste Cook pasta…
  • I love Bento boxes, they're so creative! I've got all kinds of silicone cups, tiny cutters to make shapes, molds for hard boiled eggs (rabbit, car, cat, dog), dividers, all kinds of stuff to make them look "pretty". My daughter loved them and didn't want to look at them until lunch time so she was surprised every day.…

  • Google BENTO BOX LUNCHES FOR KIDS You don't have to do a "real" bento box, but lots and lots of ideas for lunches that don't need refrigeration, food that can be packed in the AM and still edible at lunch time. But Bento Boxes are very cute for kids, make them want to eat what you prepare and are very creative! I did one…
  • I mix mine in orange juice! Sounds weird but I like it. I'd say no taste at all. My OJ still tastes just like OJ. The color is weird but tastes like OJ jello sort of, lol!

  • And no offense intended in this response too but yes I could too if I had the resources available to me that Ms. Obama has to her, but of course I don't. Maybe I need my personal assistant to schedule gym time for me. Sorry but this comment isn't relevant to the masses. I can't relate to what the First Lady does and while…
  • I wear mine every day clipped to the center of my bra. FitBit recommends same location for their unit. I think it's as accurate as in a pocket or purse. My step count or distance never seems elevated.
  • Oh yeah! Try roasting veggies you think you don't like. I HATE green beans in any way shape or form but if they're roasted with salt and pepper until crispy, I'll eat 'em. I'll eat almost any veggie that can be roasted. Not sure why they're different roasted but I like a lot more veggies out of the oven that I won't eat…

  • There's another post asking for favorite recipe sites. Go to some of those and search for recipes utilizing the things on your list. I'm not much of a veggie eater either but I've found lots of recipes that sounded good and tried them. Cucumbers with rice vinegar, sugar, soy sauce are really good. I'm sure there's a green…
