  • I use it when I make rocket fuel (variation of bulletproof coffee using tea and hemp hearts). I think it helps strengthen my nails. It does give a nice creamy mouth feel to my drink. I don't have it every day though so not sure what it might help. I buy cans of Great Lakes on Amazon, the green tin. Red tin is like gelatin,…
  • 20g net or less per day for almost a year, I've lost 53 pounds and hope to lose about 40 more in 2017.
  • Recipes are good and it's basically a diabetic/low glycemic type diet, i.e. low carb most of the time, little or no "real" sugar, limit high carb fruits (bananas, pineapple), and eat lots of veggies. I don't bake even when I'm not dieting so I don't care about the alternate flours and cakes and brownies. So it's really not…

  • Not sure what you're looking at but no way is KIX cereal 600 calories for a cup + milk. Nutrition info on the side box I saw was 88 calories for 1 cup of cereal + whatever calories for milk type.
  • Just to clarify for anyone reading.... She uses 1 stick of butter in the fat bomb itself, then uses 2 tbsp butter in with the chocolate while melting it to smooth out the chocolate. So the 2 tbsp is not part of the bomb, but part of the chocolate topping or glaze.
  • I make scrambled eggs after I get to work. I take 2 eggs (crack when I get to work), bacon bits, slice of cheese and it takes 1 1/2 minutes in microwave. I also make mock oatmeal at work (ricotta + egg + splenda + vanilla + cream), takes 1-2 minutes in microwave. I mix it up at home, cook when I get to work. Add butter,…
  • Yesterday I did: Calories 1472 Carbs 36, fiber 19 so net of 17 Fat 111g Protein 87g I'm working on getting more fat in my diet so yesterday was higher than usual for me. Hoping to see if it'll reflect in a drop on the scale. I've been sitting at the same weight for a couple of months so doing some tweeking.
  • Yeah but about 10-11 of those 14 are fiber so net carbs = 3-4 usually on a whole avocado. All the more reason to keep on eatin'!
  • I'm in the US so could be different in your neck of the woods but you get a larger salad if you order the sandwich as a salad vs. dumping sandwich contents into a bowl. They tend to give you more veggies like lettuce and tomato, etc., and the same amount of meat and cheese. So in the ones I visit, it's worth it to order a…
  • I just spent last night making FAT BOMBS, lol. That's what they're called. Here's a link to the recipe I used: http://wifezillasway.blogspot.com/2012/01/abi-faes-fat-bombs.html I made them in the mini silicone ice cube trays and it made 68 of them. Mine are a little bigger than a rolo candy. Each one is 74 calories, 1g…
  • If you use virgin expeller pressed. That has no coconut flavor or odor. I get mine at my produce co-op but I know you can find it where they sell coconut oils.
  • A week in advance too. I use this as my menu planner and shopping list. My week runs Saturday through Friday. Saturday mornings I pick up a produce basket at my produce co-op and then head to the grocery store with my list of items needed based on the menu for the next week. I tweak daily, usually at the end of the day.…
  • Spaghetti squash lasagne and Cilantro Lime Fish Tacos are 2 of my staples that I make over and over again. Love her site and her recipes.
  • Good old Gina at SkinnyTaste.com! Here's her fish taco recipe that I use over and over and over.... It's great with tilapia! I don't like cilantro so I skip that, but love these tacos. http://www.skinnytaste.com/2012/02/cilantro-lime-tilapia-tacos.html
  • I love this one: http://www.skinnytaste.com/2012/02/cilantro-lime-tilapia-tacos.html I don't like cilantro so I skip that but it's easy to make and very, very good!
  • This is my "go to" spaghetti squash recipe. I make it and freeze individual servings. Have it all the time and LOVE it!
  • Those two recipes can be made with just a microwave. Here's a good website with recipes too: http://cooking-in-college.com/ Might need more than a microwave for some of those recipes though. And here's another good tip I just found. If you can have a toaster, put it on it's side. Put bread in there with cheese on each…
  • I've used Champion Pure Whey Stack Chocolate for about 10 years. It tastes like Nestle's Quik when mixed with water. No lumps no icky after taste. I usually dump a tbsp of coffee creamer in there (using Almond Joy right now), add water and ice, mix and go. That's one thing I hate about protein drink questions. EVERY SINGLE…
  • Here's a couple: Chicken and Corn Baked Potato (serves 2) shredded chicken breast (can use rotiserie chicken or canned chicken) 1 can Green Giant Niblets corn 2 potatoes 1/2 tsp. cumin (more if you like it) salt and pepper to taste Microwave potatoes until soft. Empty can of corn + chicken + cumin into microwave safe bowl…
  • My current favorite (it changes often). I've made this 3 times already in the last month, have servings in the freezer right now and put this in my Tried and True rotation. It's really good.... http://www.skinnytaste.com/2011/09/spaghetti-squash-lasagna.html
  • Another thread on cottage cheese quiche that is wonderful! 2 cups cottage cheese, 2 eggs + whatever you'd like in quiche. Bake at 350 for about 30-40 minutes. I just made it with crab, almonds, green onion, and topped with mozzarella cheese. It's really, really good and you'd never guess it's cottage cheese based.
  • Love it. I have an MFP recipe board, a sweets board (that I try to stop pinning to...), a Weight Watcher recipe board, Recipes to try board, and Recipes tried and loved board. You can find ANYTHING on Pinterest, lol!
