W=F X D. You are correct. I learned that in 6th grade.

Lost crazy weight doing it but after I could no longer convince myself to keep it up, i hit a plateau that could only be reversed by eating heavy for a month to reset my metabolism and I gained 10 of the lbs I had previously lost. I didn't lose 10 lbs per week any of the weeks I did it so that was false advertising. I am…

People knock cardio but with cardio and watching what I eat I went from BP 139/91 to 125/70. I haven't checked it since lifting but it sure beats having to go on meds. Congrats.

I eat pasta the day before I run long distances. For some reason I have more energy and less joint pain during the run.

It took me 17 years of fat and happy marriage to get to 320 lbs. I am not going to be disappointed if it takes the next 10 years of skinny and happy marriage to lose 100 lbs. Along the way I am going to enjoy life, eat well, exercise with my wife by lifting weights and go on walks together. Impatience and suffering is the…

That is why I only eat half of my calories back.

It is going to be hard to get your allotted macronutrients eating twinkies but it is not going to kill you to eat a twinkie. My weakness, Dark Chocolate.

Weight loss is YOUR journey. You will probably mess it up several times before getting it right. Eventually you will find the right combination of foods and exercise that will work for you. Some people lose fast. I lose about 3 lbs every 2 weeks but I have a lot to lose. Don't try to do it too fast by starving yourself. If…

I am 281 lbs, work out with 50 lb dumbells, run 4 miles in 43 minutes and am just now getting to see the results from weight lifting and increasing my calories that I started in January 2013. It took me 7 weeks to see weight loss even though I started losing inches around my waist within the 2nd week. I Have dropped 2 pant…

When you first start exercising please don't weigh yourself for the first 7 weeks. Your muscles will retain fluids while your torn muscle fibers repair. This will continue until your muscles learn to compensate for the exercises by becoming stronger, leaner, more efficient fat burning machines.

You can cook anything camping you can at home if you have a dutch oven. If you are going to grill I would make Kabobs. Beef, Pork or chicken on a skewer with your favorite things, ie. cherry tomato, onion, bell pepper, pineapple, mushroom yellow or zucchini squash. Best to put items in a tupperwear that won't leak with…

Not a gal giving advise about lifting but my story is still applicable. I starved myself down to 273, hit a plateau, got discouraged and quit for 3 months regaining 17 of the 50 lbs I lost during starvation. I started back lifting weights and am thinner now than when I starved myself but I am still 8 lbs heavier than the…

Somebody needs to show those people in the prison how to shoot. Come on! How many hundreds of rounds expended and only one fatality on each side?
-
I am between where you started and where you are now. What did you do to drop that much weight?

6'5" 282 on a good day. Wife is 5'4" and completely disappears when standing behind me. If there has to be a skinny good looking one in the relationship, better to be her than me.

Yes, a year and 34 lbs lost. I probably could lose faster if I exercised more often. At least I am losing.

Bump for ammo in convincing my wife to keep me motivated and to buy P90X for my birthday.

What kink of cereal can you eat while riding a bicycle and jumping ramps? Double nut crunch!

Asparagus tea or asparagus extract.

Check out eggplant water.

Overweight, shin splints, chronically sprained ankles (both ankles), left knee pain and bad right hip from an old soccer injury. The way I cured it was to walk my first year and then start jogging. Even now I try to walk five to ten minutes to warm up slowly before running. I haven't cured the overweight problem but I just…

NSV- I just cut 4 inches out of my belt and put on my skinny jeans last friday and they almost fell off me. Jeans I haven't worn for about 12 years.

Plain and simple, I have used it the same way someone would use a 30 day shred. For 5 months I was at a plateau. My 30 day shred was the 3 day diet. I went over 160 days strait on the MFP and stopped losing weight. I am on the 2nd to the last day of my 30 day shred of the 3 day diet. When I weigh myself first thing friday…

I use the 3 day diet as a plateau buster. I didn't drop a pound for over 5 months and was trying everything including eating more calories and killing myself at the gym and walking for over an hour each day. I did the 3 day diet eating pretty much anything I wanted for 4 days in moderation and tue-thurs did the recommended…

I have had chronic shin splints from running due to starting at over 320 lbs. I have found that if I walk out a distance and then run back that same distance, 1.5-2 miles, I don't have any joint or shin problems. Now that I am 280 and a lot less wiggles when I run, I have less stress on my body. Start out slowly. Run on…

6'5", 5 boys, 40 years old, started at 320 and am currently 279 lbs and I have been doing this 3 1/2 months already. You are the perfect inspiration for me. I'm going to cut a few calories and get back to running. Thanks

Did it and loved it over 10 years ago. I lost 50 lbs in 12 weeks. The only problem I can share is I didn't view it as a permanent livestyle change and when I quit after the 12 weeks, I gained it all back about 2 years later. I have been doing MFP with the 6 meals per day with the carb and protein ratio as on the Body For…

I have been busting hump for the past 5 weeks with weights and cardio, almost an hour a day with no weight loss. I read a post that said take a week off. I did and kept eating within my goal without exercise and the lifting and the weight is melting off. 2 lbs in 2 days. Granted is may be atrophied muscle a bit but it sure…

I have worked with criminals inside and outside of the fence. There are some who have lost all humanity. You look at them and there is not even a spark of decency left in their eyes. We had one just 2 weeks ago kill a prison guard. He was in for life without a chance of parole. He leaves behind a pregnant wife and young…

I went up 3 lbs yesterday after bumping up my calories from 2150-2350. My light-headedness is gone, I don't have cravings and I have a lot more energy. I even ran 3/4 of a mile yesterday. More calories good!
