I would suggest you stretch for atleast 10 minutes before and after your run. Stretching reduces your chances of getting cramps, and pains. Also decreases chance of muscle injury and soreness.

I kept mine for two days before returning it. It's a fancy pedometer so I got a HRM (polar) instead and am very happy with it.

I complete 1.5 liters by 10 am and then continue to drink another 1.5 liters by 6 pm. It helps that I keep the water in sight on my desk at work.
