I wouldn't worry about it. If you are goin gto have a "natural", drug free birth you might want to try and read some books or watch a youtube video. Otherwise, the doc/nurse will talk you through it. Either way you will go home with a baby. As far as the breastfeeding goes, there is usually a lactation consultant on staff…

I am 15 weeks and have gained 3 pounds. I track everything still and try to exercise 4-5 times per week. I am determined not to gain over the 15-20 pounds my doctor suggested. I have two older children and am 36, so it isn't going to be as easy for me ro bounce back this time.
-
I almost cried today at the doctor. They told me I had gained 2 pounds. It is just freaking HARD to watch that scale go back up after the hard work.

Wow! Another nuvaring oops here! My youngest is 5, so I thought we were done. Getting a tubal after this one so I can't mess up my birth control again!

From my past experiences (2 boys), this is an early pregnancy phase. I have found that drinking more water helps with the hunger. Of course, this time around I had morning sickness so I am just now getting back to eating. Don't worry, it will slow down.

I would have to agree with chicky. Half pound a week would put you in a comfy spot. I would just go over it with your doctor the next time you see her.

I really looove my coffee. I usually make a weakish batch in the morning and have three cups. I use half or less of the usual amount of grounds. I cannot stand decaf. I'm not too worried about it. I drink tons of water to balance it out.

Don't worry! It will pass! What I did was buy a couple of prepared salads in the deli section of the grocery store when I went shopping. It make a big difference when I am too tired to prep anything and pizza sounds sooooo good. A few bites of salad goes a long way to stave off the hunger pains.

Bump for after I finish cooking my baby!

This is standard practice for a lot of ob/gyns. If you had a + hpt, you are pregnant. Pick up some prenatals from the drug store and start those. The only reason you would need to go to the dr early is i fyou are having pains or have a history of miscarriage.

I know how you feel. I am short waisted, so when I'm pregnant you can't tell it's baby until about 6 months. It jist looks like fat. It makes me sad.
-
I am so sorry you have to wait. I can't imagine what you are going through. Good luck and stay strong!

It is just a regular u/s, but instead of measuring limbs and cranium they are measuring the size of the lymph fluid resevoir inthe neck area. Thin line=good. A lot of fluid is an indicator of downs. Honestly, this was the earliest I have ever had an u/s and I was surprised to see hands, feet and a nose!
-
Had my U/S today! Measured 12 w 6 days, so my doc might move my due date up. Nuchal scan looked great. Waiting for blood test results, but I really don't think it will be an issue. I just ate the biggest burger you have ever seen, so I guess my appetite is back.

Luckily(?) I had just lost 17 lbs when I found out I was pregnant. So I'm just wearing my "fat" pants. Boo.
-
Wow! What a process! I hope this turns out well for you. Good luck!

Heard a heartbeat! Very excited...

Somethinglike 50% of people have hpv. I do. Not that big of a deal. I have my first appt with my ob/gyn this morning. I hope to hear a heartbeat! I am going to go ahead and do the nuchal scan an protein screen. It is expensive and I don't have a history of birth defects or downs inmy family but it's better to know, right?
-
It tests for gestational diabetes. Usually done at around 20 weeks. I had to do mine at 10 weeks because my family has a history of diabetes. It was gross. You drink a sugary drink and then get blood drawn exactly an hour later.
-
Had my glucose test this morning. Gross. I am so freaking tired today. I feel bad for letting my 5 y.o. watch cartoons all day, but I just have zero energy to do anything.....
-
Not showing. Just look like I ate too many twinkies.
-
I had no symptoms except tiredness with my first two kids. It isn't unusual. When is your next appt?

If you are collecting things as an investment for him to cash in on in the future, you really should keep it in storage somewhere. Or are you wanting him to "keep up" the "collection"? If so, be prepared for him to not care. I would be wary of buying "collectable" toys. Two words: beanie babies. Why not put the money you…

How much longer on your lease? Otherwise, I would suggest a noise cancelling machine. Or earplugs. You are right that he should be aware of the noise, but there is only so much he can do. We moved out of an apartment once because the sound of the dogs fingernails on the upstairs tile was making me insane. Is it possible to…

breast feeding, dude. Also......gross.
-
Yes. Me. I try to do healthy but I sometimes grab a handful of pringles. The salt helps.

But seriously, it can be a sign of cancer. If you really are having discharge from your nipple and are not pregnantor bfing you should get a checkup.

I've been home for the last couple of years and will be for the next several, too. I tried to go back last year and only made it a month and a half. I just couldn't justify leaving my kids in somone elses care for 9 hours a day. It was dumb. But then, after paying for daycare and afterschool and everything I was only…

I cannot even imagine going back to work after 6 weeks. When I had my boys I was working at a place that gave me 12 weeks at 70% pay. I am home now and can't even imagine having had less. I dunno how much time my husband will get off or if it will be payed.
-
they are having me do mine early, too. I think it might be new guidelines within the ob/gyn community. I am 9 weeks.
