  • I would stop calling it daycare and look for a "moms day out" program. They are usually a couple days/week for 3-4 hours. Local churches and the ymca are good places for these.
  • I wasn't impressed with the quality of the cribs at IKEA. I gave them a good wiggle while I was there the other day and they seemed a little rickety. We will get the dresser from IKEA and use the top for a changing table. The crib I am getting at Target. You could get the Walmart crib and then return it if you need to.
  • We tried each writing down our top 8. We had some crossover, but now we need to figure out first vs middle. Gah.
  • One thing to remember: We all leave the hospital with a baby. I am a full supporter of medicated birth and just want to say that once you get into the labor, you should reserve the right to change your mind and not be pressured from any angle. There are no winners or losers here, ladies.
  • I love my ymca, but I can see how someone without kids would think it was a rip. For our 56$ per month I get 2 hours of free childcare/day and one night a month of free babysitting. We get discounts on the kids' sports. They have a nice pool. We can go to other y's in the area without charge. I am also loving their cardio…
  • I am trying to focus on eating a good protein with every meal and cutting down on carbs. One thing that helps me is to keep a supply of frozen semi-healthy meals on hand. I like to have a hot lunch sometimes.
  • I am more offended by the terrible writing and weak plot of the book than the cooncept of it. There is plenty of well written erotica out there. I also think it is sad that it takes a crappy book like 50 shades to get women more interested in their sex lives. That being said, I wouldn't be surprised by the birth surge.
  • I am not trying to be mean, but this is my third time around.
  • Word to the wise...... Ask for whatever you want. Be grateful for whatever you are given. Baby showers are a celebration for the expectant parents, not a gift grab. Focus on having a good time with friends and family. Don't depend on others buying you what you need/want.
  • this. It seems like a waste of time and calories to have a single glass of wine or beer. I'll wait until November

  • Man! Congrats! If it makes you feel better, I had just lost 20 pounds when this little surprise showed up. So I feel ya
  • I know you are breach, so you can tone down on the cervix kicks. Kisses.....
  • me, too! No idea what to name this kid. None.
  • The only things that helped me were ice water, crackers and cold clementine oranges. And laying down a lot.
  • I gained 7 pounds in 4 weeks. Yikes. That makes 15 pounds in 25 weeks. I was on vacation last week, though. It was a bit of a free for all as far as food and no exercise. Back on track this week.
  • Here was another thread on here a few weeks ago about this. My 2¢, leave the tags on everything possible. Especially clothing.
  • I never did, but only because I couldn't find one that didn't taste terrible. A beer here and there, or a glass of wine, is fine (imo).

  • I am so very sorry for your loss.
  • Avoid fried food. Try eating breakfast for dinner (eggs, bacon). Seafood is good. I agree with the above re: the salads and chili. Also, you could get soup and salad at most places.
  • I didn't want to shell out the big bucks, so no. When getting the 20 week anatomy, my tech switched over to give us a 3d view for a few minutes. It was a cool surprise.
  • I found some on the clearance rack at kohls. I also bought a few xl tshirts at old navy. After this girl pops out I can use them for art smocks with the kids. Also, yoga pants are my friend right now. Do you have a ross dress for less nearby?
  • Up 7 pounds at 21 weeks. It is scary to see the scale go up up up
  • I did the first screen. Blood test plus an US. My numbers were comparable to a 20 year old person. I won't lie, it was a relief. Yeah, my mom is enjoying it. She had me in high school, so I was in college by the time she was my age. This is it for me, though. Getting my tubes tied whilst having my c section.

  • I am considered AMA, too. My mom keeps cracking jokes about bringing a walker to the hospital for me. Did you do all of the screens yet?

  • I have two boys already! I am kinda freaked out about having a girl. I am used to boys!
  • Come see us at "fit fabulous and pregnant". We are all preggos over here!
  • Just think of how ahead of the game we will all be post pregnancy! I was weighed today and have only gained 6 lbs. I am 20 weeks, 6 days.
  • It's a girl! No clue on names yet. So far we are sticking with the same schedule for my c section. Sadly, thar means I will be in the hospital over Thanksgiving.
  • I am having my sex/anatomy US tomorrow! I am so excited!
  • Everyone is different. Even guys. That said, I wouldn't be attracted to a guy who didn't read. I'm not into sports so a guy who only tead the sports pages would be weird to me.
