Down 1.8 pounds this week. I had 2 really bad days in there and plan to be much more consistent this week. Just finished week one of the "ease into 5K" program. Running tends to help me burn calories quickly, so hope this helps! I'm thrilled to see so much progress in the group this week. Thanks for keeping me inspired…

What a tremendous accomplishment, Maggy! I can't wait to be "just overweight" too. :)

So my weight loss progress went down 5 pounds. I could tell that I had gained during the last few weeks I've spent not tracking and I was right. I feel glad that I faced the music so I could tell where my true starting point was. I will be down from 29 to 39 pounds by Christmas!

Planning is definitely key! I'm trying new recipes to keep myself motivated. This morning I made Apple Cinnamon Breakfast Quinoa from this website: http://www.eat-yourself-skinny.com/2012/09/apple-cinnamon-quinoa-cereal.html . It came out great and I have two more servings in the fridge to take to work. I'm alone with my…

Wow, Mercedes! That is really inspiring. I've been up and down a lot in the past but need to stay on track. I think this group will help.

Welcome! I see this group as a place to check-in at least weekly with your progress on the scale, as well as non-scale victories. Post about any challenges you encounter to get help from the group and let us all know when you're making good choices so we can share in your joy! This looks like a great group of motivated…

Hey, everyone! This is Vikki from East Hartford. I'm still working on dropping the baby weight from my, ahem, 4 year old. Feel free to friend me if you'd like some mutual support!

Same here!

Sounds like fun! I'll have to keep it in mind for next year. I'm pretty sure I've tapped out my fundraising reserves with my MS Ride today.

I'm so glad to find this thread! I've been very successful with South Beach in the past (lost about 30 pounds), then veered off for a while (luckily didn't gain much back). I'm working on South Beach again now and am using MFP to keep an eye on what I'm eating. I try to just watch that I'm eating the right kind of carbs,…

Oh my God! I can't wait for her to be gone. I can't even watch the show anymore with her on it. I'll start again on the episode she gets kicked off.

My bike! I struggled for years to find an exercise I liked and then I bought a bike. It's so much fun, I forget that I'm exercising.

I thought I was the only one with this fear. This and not fitting on a roller coaster. I haven't been to an amusement park in years, but I am going to go next summer with no fear. I WILL stay on track so I can save my worries for bigger things.

Wow! Very inspirational!!

So inspiring!!! Thank you for sharing this.

I do South Beach as well. I use this site for tracking and keeping myself accountable, but don't pay too much attention to calories. I focus on keeping my carbs low (and only healthy carbs) and my protein high. It works well for me!

It sounds like we have some similar stats and goals. I'm 35 and currently weigh 242 (started at 272) and am trying to get down to 160. Would love to add some new friends! Vikki
