HA! You and me both!

Does it count as a crush if you envy their motivation? Then yes! Otherwise no :(

Natalie Wood, and Joan Jett. Never saw either one.

Sounds like my experience in gall bladder land. It was horrific pain, and I've had 2 children. They took it out a few months later, it wasn't very bad actually. If you take your pain pills, be sure to eat some crackers with them, they are rough on an empty tummy. Poor thing, hope you're feeling better!

Ditto!!

When we stress our stress hormone level goes up, which is called "cortisol." This is a real scientific survival mechanism, stress causes increased secretion of cortisol. When I was first beginning my weight loss journey, I was under the most stress of my life. It was literally the worst year of my life. I was working out…

DITTO!! The only way to break the cycle is to make a conscious choice to get healthy, and seek professional help. Just like with any illness, it's almost impossible to get well without a trained professional. Please take care!

I just started Insanity after doing P90X for months and months. I needed to bump it up a little bit. Does anyone else feel like they hate Insanity more than anything else in the world? Because I'm pretty sure I do. I'm really trying to convince myself that I can do 60 days. P90x was SO much easier!

I started P90x on Halloween and have been doing it ever since (I know, longer than 90 days) I am switching to Insanity tomorrow. I lost 69lbs, cut my BMI WAY down, dropped my cholesterol over 70 points and have so much more energy than I did before. I have pics on my profile of me when I was almost at my heaviest and now.…

Instead of turkey I use TVP (textured vegetable protein) you can buy it at any store, cook and season with taco seasoning and served on the fat free tortillas, YUM- and super light.

I see it too, great job!

Since you only have a small amount of weight to lose you should be eating closer to your BMR calories, but exercising more. I read that you should be doing more weight resistance exercises the closer you get to your goal weight. at 5'5" your body may not WANT to get down to 125, especially if you have a lot of muscle tone.…

I'm no expert, but if it were me I'd up my workouts to 5-6 days per week, and add some intensity. If you're doing 30min workouts once per day, try adding another 20 or 30 mins at some point through the day. And add resistance training (weights) that really helps shed the pounds! I would probably also cut my calories down…

YES! I have had people say the same thing to me and I still have quite a bit to lose! I think it all boils down to people don't like change and they may not necessarily like to see someone else happy or thin?

I never did the boot camp video but I LOVE Leslie! I did her videos for about 4 years until I moved on to P90x. I like her walk/kick video best. It's quick but intense. I think her videos are perfect for people just starting out, since you can move on to the more intense and longer workouts. Good luck!

Welcome to the site! I agree with the post that it's addictive! On the board I have found answers to all my weight loss questions, support, recipes, motivation, etc. It has helped me lose 62 pounds so far- I am smaller than I was in high school! I am sure I would not have been able to get this far without this site! I hope…

Do you live somewhere where it snows? If so sledding burns a ton of calories. Or if you don't, a public pool? Take the kiddos to the pool and go swimming. My daughter and I play the 2P run on Wii fit and "race" each other. She is 5 so of course she beats me mercilessly, but, it's fun for both of us and burns a decent…

Great job! 2lbs is a perfect rate to lose in one week. ANY loss is far better than a gain!

I like to make tofu/black bean enchiladas i drain a block of extra firm tofu and blot with paper towel. Then cube the tofu into very small squares. Chop 2 cloves of garlic and saute in about 1tsp of olive oil. Add tofu to garlic and brown. If you need more liquid, I add some fat free broth. Then toss in some seasonings. I…

Great job!! Your weight loss is VERY noticeable in the pictures. You look awesome!

I just randomly clicked on this post and read through the entire 8 pages lmao. Now I'm a little sad that I've spent my Saturday night doing this instead of 4 guys. :P

I've used Phentermine for dieting in the past. I did have more weight loss than dieting alone since it helped with energy and appetite suppression. I eventually stopped taking it because I was just too afraid of the side effects. I found if I always took it exactly as directed (about an hour before breakfast) I had a great…

Looks like excerpts from the P90x "Core synergistics" workout. That one is a butt kicker!

I don't think I can express HOW much I hate this work out lol. I started P90x by doing Plyometrics the very first day. I was almost in tears about halfway through. I made it all the way through, but it was not pretty. I can do the whole thing now but I'd still rather not. I am not a fan of jumping as half of my foot is…

It is absurd! I could sell people bottled cat urine and tell them it would make them lose weight- as long as they only eat 500 calories a day while taking it, and work out every day. Of course they'd lose weight no matter WHAT "supplement" they are taking, they are starving themselves! It's like anorexia with hormones. I…

Love this thread! I only work out at home because I have 2 small children and live in a remote area with no friends or family within hours of me. I do P90x and other assorted exercise videos, plus the Wii fit plus. But here is a website with exercise ideas using soup cans instead of weights. In addition to a few reps of…

WOW! Awesome job! You should be proud.

Welcome! I have the same mind set- I am not going to teach my children to eat themselves into obesity. Showing your children a healthy and active lifestyle will end up being so beneficial to them as adults. Good luck, if you ever need encouragement or someone to talk to, I'm close by!

I have been doing the P90x lean routine for almost 3 months now and you're right, it is difficult! I had a very hard time starting out, but you can modify some of the workouts. Tony Horton is the "leader" and his motto is "do your best and forget the rest." But before starting, I initially built up my stamina by doing…
