Personally I don't have any mini goals. For me I find noticing the little ways my body is changing is great motivation, also as I go down remembering, "I was this weight before kids", "I was this weight in high schoool" are very rewarding. I do have a BIG reward for when I reach goal. A tummy tuck, if needed. I carry my…

I used to rely on other's for motivation and it never got me anywhere. I didn't want their influence to determine my success or failure, if I was to succeed or fail it would be my fault. Like you I recognized the things that derailed me in the past and I came up with plans to deal with those issues as they arose. I would…

Well my youngest is 3 this week and I just lost all that baby weight  I do have to say, after each baby I never did get back to my pre-pregnancy weight. I always ended up at the same weight when I went in to deliver. But after my 3rd I was definitely at my highest non-pregnant weight. NOW, I have lost all the baby…

When in doubt I always go with the lower number.

Totally agree! But I do know there are times when I am sick but I still feel well enough to do some sort of workout just not all out. Those days I go for a walk, don't over do it, don't go super far and just go slower than your norm. Only if you are feeling up to, if you aren't than your body probably needs the rest.

The current issue just out of Fitness magazine has a great article on workout DVD's. I personally only have Jillian Micheals Ripped in 30, I got it at Target for $9. It is the article above as "Perfect Circuit: Intermediate/Advanced". I like it because each session is only 24 minutes, super easy to squeeze into my day.…

I really hope some highly educated person can prove me wrong but I'm almost positive you can not spot lose fat faster in a specific region than any other. It's genetically predispositioned where you gain and store your fat.

I don't credit anyone but myself for my weight loss. I did the work, I stuck it out, I measure my food, I get my butt out and exercise. I did this. With that said I've had multiple tools that I've used to help me get there, I did WW for awhile, livestrong.com, MFP, and currently using info from www.intense-workout.com ,…

The more the merrier I say! I've lost 42# so far still have about 14# to get to where I originally envisioned myself, but once I'm there I anticipate adjusting just depends on what I look like and how I feel when I'm there. I've been at this for over a year, and I know what has clicked for me this time is focusing on…

How long ago did you have your baby? Is it constant? Anything make it worse? better?

I just got Fitness magazine in the mail and they have an article about best workout dvd's in it. Might be worth picking up.

If there is ever a question of bleeding the red dye makes it hard to differentiate between blood and dye.

Do you do any exercises to help strengthen your knee? Sorry I don't have any recommendations on braces, just a thought I had.

It's ONE night. One night doesn't define anything. Life is about moments, not all about counting calories and exercising. The whole point of a date night is to focus on the two of you. Whatever happens on the scale can be reversed, you can't reverse time spent with your family. Yes your health is extremely important but…

My husband had his lower back fused but it was minimal fusion, just two. With that said, he's a soldier and doing just as much if not more now than he did before surgery. Just this morning he did a ruck march(65-pound pack) 5.5 miles in just over an hour. BUT, IMO this is what got him to having back surgery in the first…

Wear firmer soled shoes (is that proper English??). The cushy soles designed for impact exercises make your feet go numb because they are pressed firmly into your soles without being lifted up allowing blood flow to your toes.

I like a variety of workouts. I'm limited to an hour, since I have to pay for childcare and they charge for every 15 minutes. With that said there are tons you can do but honestly it sounds like you need to find something that interests you. Expecting to put in minimal effort and get maximum results? There is no quick fix,…

When I started running my knees would hurt, I added cycling and it made a world of difference. From what I understand it helps to build the muscles that support the knee without the impact. Just a thought.

Hard to say. Personally I was at a plateau for over a month, I stumbled across www.intense-workout.com followed his advice and I'm already down 4 this week (granted I'm fully aware this is too fast but considering a month at a standstill I figure I'll give it another week and then adjust if this continues). I up'd my…

I know it can be frustrating but Seriuosly have someone hide your scale. I hit a plateau for just over a month and I used to react how you used to. Now my mindset is REGARDLESS of what the scale says I know I did everything right. I got the right amount of exercise, I ate appropriate servings of healthy food. I am getting…

Congrats on your weight loss that is amazing. My go to right now is www.intense-workout.com love his advice. You can figure out what you need to maintain your weight. Then eat back your exercise calories. It may take a couple weeks for your body to adjust. Best of luck!

Tired and achy... sounds like you might be overtraining. Take a day or so off! Or at the most just go for a walk. You may even want to up your daily calories. There are mutliple places you can check what your estimated daily calorie expenditure. I personally like www.intense-workout.com . That's also where the article on…

You are looking great!

There are times our weight plateaus, it's part of the process. Believe me I know how frustrating it is. And to steal a quote, "if you keep doing what you are doing, you'll keep getting what you've got" or something like that. Maybe try cutting back a bit on exercise for 2 weeks and see if that makes a difference. Check out…

Try increasing your calorie intake and see what happens. Everyone is different and it may be what your body needs, then again it may not be. In my opinion, if you truly have been good about tracking for 2 weeks and no change then try something else for 2 weeks and see if that works.
