This explains a lot actually. Thank you!

Edited because you did answer in the above comment with a different quote.

Also, there is a man at my work who is in a position that requires him to present to the whole building on a regular basis who never uses "were" only "was" We was going to the park. They was eating breakfast. The men and women was being safe. It makes me want to correct him every time!

I'm pretty good with the basic ones like lose, loose, loss and two, too, to, and their, they're, there, and your and you're, but I do have a grammar question if anyone can answer. How do you refer to singular person of unknown gender in conversation? I incorrectly use the work "they" which I know to be plural, but when you…

I definitely get that, but it is still very difficult to say "In a year I'll still be obese even though I'll have been working hard for a whole year. In two years I'll still be overweight, even though I worked very hard for two whole years".. I didn't gain my weight slowly, I can gain 10lbs in a week no problem, so it…

I think the reason this is hard to do is that if I did 1/2lb a week, it will take me over 3 years to get where I want. That is a long time to look ahead to, even if it is healthiest.

Thank you for writing this in a way that doesn't sound condescending and sarcastic. I really appreciate it. I went to the website and found if I'm sedentary they suggest 1700ish cal/day, if I'm lightly active (I'm somewhere between the two I think) then 1950ish/day. If anyone has time, can you suggest to me if I'm…

I was thinking of joining that one too if I get enough feedback. I had one girl I know tell me she found it too pressuring and she was stressed all the time, but the problem is if you are heavy, you have to lose a lot more weight. Her goal was over 3lbs/week, which is hard to sustain. Mine would be a bit over 2lbs a week,…

I'm a terrible eater as well and have been struggling with the same 10lbs over and over for the last year. I need some tough love I think. :S

Hermione?
-
Me too. My first reason before had to do with my looks, but now that I'm getting a bit older and all the health problems my mom has have shown up, my focus has changed.
-
I make that look now.. good point!
-
Hahaha I love this!

I take my synthroid first thing in the morning and then wait an hour to eat/drink. I don't get heartburn very often, but when I do get it, it is almost always around when I'm going to bed and I didn't want to risk not being able to take an antacid. I also take wellbutrin and allergy meds first thing, and bcp at night

While I'm not saying I'm not lazy, because I really can be. I think the reason I'm fat is food, not as much with the lazy. My job in on my feet walking around all day, and at times going up and down stair many times a day.. but I still don't lose weight because I do well all week then drink and overeat most weekends. I eat…

I would call a size 12 a L, as someone who spent a great deal of time at that size before and wore M-L shirts and L pants. That being said, even if it should be an XL going by the chart someone else posted, I wouldn't see a size 12 woman and consider her to be an Extra Large woman.. I'd see "slightly bigger than normal"…

If it helps, most of them were also the people who gained the least amount of weight during pregnancy (because of dietary restrictions) and some ended up less than they started once they had the baby!
-
Awesome to be healthy for your kids, but I just wanted to add I know multiple women who were fit and thin and still got GD.
-
Excellent goal. Count me as seduced!
-
That's the fungus that takes over ants? Or is that another one? Haha, in any case, that would be very creepy.. good reason to be fit indeed!

Turned 30 in July, so I'm with you now!

People using your fatness as motivation to work harder. Nothing makes me want to quit more than seeing/hearing people use me as "Oh god, I better work harder so I don't end up like THAT"
-
Oh my god! You do NOT look like the same person at all. I am totally blown away!

I have been on many different pills before I found one that worked well for me. I take Cyclen, it is a higher dose pill compared to alesse, but I needed a higher dose. Other pills have caused depression, long bleeding like you mentioned, yeast infections, skipped periods. I may need to adjust again soon however, because I…

More please!

Worse for me was when people were using me as "motivation", watching my speed and everytime they looked tired and like they were going to stop, looking at me and then going faster. Wouldn't want to end up like that fat girl.

I have the opposite issues, I always fail at moderation, I do much much better when I make particular foods off limits.
-
Amazing! You have done so well :D Also, I would like to note that I look very much like your before picture when I'm 204lbs! I don't even look as good as your after at 148lbs, and I'm 5'6" 1/2!

For my B.Sc. I have an Adv. Major in Biology, and didn't have a real minor, but took general social studies type courses. For my B.Ed. I have a major in Secondary Sciences and a minor in Secondary Social Studies

I get that. I have thought about it and my issue with the test is that is asks how often you feel negative feelings, but it never lets you quantify the magnitude of those feelings. There is no separation between "feel a little bad/uncomfortable" and "feel hideous and mortified" There is a big difference between those two…
