Excited to have met my October goal today by finishing in 1st place in my age group at a 5K ... and no, I was not the only 50-54 in my group! I am 54, which makes me smile because I was faster than those 50 year old women - LOL! Finished in 29:09 ... not bad for a runner with two hip replacements!

Sprained my ankle badly last Sunday while running downhill on a bridge. Did a slow and easy 5.1 miles today. Still hoping to make my goal for the month!

Left ankle decided to "let me down" on Sunday (and not so gently either) so have been taking it easy this week! Swollen and black/blue probably means I sprained it and the knee and elbow on my right side scraped up a lot of pavement - ouch! I'm tough; I'll make my goal this month :-)

Hi Cooriander, I've been having a lot of issues with my hip and sciatica this month. Finally saw a chiropractor and my hip doctor. Both recommended that I should give my hip a rest from running ... not what I wanted to hear. So, please remove me from the spreadsheet for June so that I don't mess up the group stats.…

We plan to be at the expo Friday night around 6. Then, on Sunday, I will be running slow on my new hip so hope to make it to the finish in 2:30.
