My name was inspired by my hubby. My first name is Gail, but I couldn't seem to create an original handle using that. Whatever. It's funny when mfp'ers call me Mrs Ables tho, because I'm not formal in the least.

I use that Ras El Hanout blend almost daily sprinkled in my oil and balsamic vinegar salad dressing. Yum!

I looked at amazon.com for reviews of it. 4 people loved it, one didn't but wasn't very specific. Let us know if you buy it and how it works. I just ordered a Kuhn Rikon Julienne Peeler, and I'm waiting for it to be delivered.

I LOVE the Carmelized Coconut Chips. My family couldn't get past something coconutty not being sweet, so more for me! Very addicting, tastes like buttered toast.

Thank you all for your comments and suggestions. And thanks for letting me vent. I am doing better this week by keeping dinner simple and looking at cookbooks instead of blogs.

The number one reason we procrastinate is because we think 'whatever' will take way longer than it actually does. Way to go, Caribou!

I was in The Vitamin Shoppe buying Coconut Aminos today and I bought some Grass-Fed Whey Protein Powder Vanilla Flavor. Ingredients: Whey protein concentrate, natural vanilla flavors, stevia leaf extract, sunflower lecithin. I haven't tried it yet. I like to have protein powder on hand for quick breakfasts sometimes.

Bump. Must watch video later. Danger high carb and high fat for non paleo family members.

In a pinch I mix together salsa and plain greek yogurt.

There is a 'to die for' pork chop recipe in Paleo Comfort Foods.

Mine is liquid this summer, too. When I put it in the fridge, it was too hard to scoop a spoonful out, so I put it back in the pantry. It won't hurt it though, like thawing frozen food and refreezing.

That's very interesting, Zeromile. I have some reading to do. I've been experiencing sensitivity just this week for the first time. I thought maybe I'm being too vigorous with my water pik. And aging. I've been told baking soda is too abrasive to use often. Is that conventional wisdom bs?

"Vitamin Shoppe" for coconut aminos. (Thanks to Twinmom.)

First of all, I'm so envious of you for going paleo while your kids are still so young! And I think your chicken nuggets sound good! My personal opinion is not to use food (ANY FOOD or drink, for that matter) as a reward or punishment for anything. Even if it's healthy. And conversely, not to use any other kind of…

I do this too. Tinfoil rings are genius, never thought of that. I just trim the bottom if needed so they sit up. I bake them in a pyrex dish with an inch of water so they steam. They take maybe 45 mins to cook? A little nutmeg or cloves is good too. They taste pumpkiny.

"I want to make paleo Mayo, there recipe is here http://paleodietlifestyle.com/paleo-mayonnaise/ But what I really want to know is if it's really safe to use raw eggs?" FairySoul, yes it's safe. Raw eggs have been used in mayo for millions of years. You just won't keep it in the fridge forever (like a jar of Hellman's). I…

Misty, I remember having weird pain in my hips when I started going Primal. I even asked if anyone here experienced that (they hadn't). It went away after a week or so. I'm glad your bf is feeling better now.

Rock the crossfit, Mike!

When I first started Primal Blueprint, I told my best friend and her husband. They asked a lot of questions and were politely skeptical. (I can only imagine their conversations behind my back.) It got tiring when every time we shared a meal they would ask "can you eat this? Can you eat that?" So last month we went on…

Hey RachFace, (the original poster), I have been following the Primal Blueprint since March '12. It's going good. I've lost about 10 pounds. I don't drink cow's milk, but I do eat a little cheese and plain yogurt. I am a sugar addict. Sugars in my diet inflame certain tissues in my body. I thought I was experiencing…

I'm in! I haven't spent much time on pinterest, but I just added a recipe to my paleo board today for baked hard-cooked eggs. I'm sending out MFP friend requests too, to those of you who aren't already on my list. http://pinterest.com/gables59/paleo/

Thank you for posting that formula. I recently had bloodwork done and my lipid panel has my doctor suggesting statins, so this is really on my mind. I am 52, 140 pounds. I've been following Primal since March 2012. These are my numbers: Total Cholesterol = 245 Triglycerides = 59 HDL = 56 Calculated LDL (per dr)=178…

Justin, it's incredibly sweet of you to make these lunch dates with your wife when you can. Way to keep your relationship strong!

Grab a handful of unsalted almonds, cashews, or walnuts.

And don't drink the water! Have fun, Mike!
