To KimiM, Agave nectar is NOT primal. It's as bad as high fructose corn syrup. This article is copied from Mark's Daily Apple: "Agave Nectar Agave nectar is a favorite whipping child of the Primal set, but we should substantiate our claims, don’t you think? We need to justify those welts, especially since a few of you guys…

How about a really nice bottle of olive oil and a bottle of balsamic vinegar?
-
The bad thing about this recipe is the coconut oil solidifies when cool, even room temp in winter. You don't want to heat it hot because that destroys the goodness in raw honey. I can warm enough to remix, but it separates quickly. What I've been doing yesterday and today: juice an orange (or lemon) into a big glass…

I have not tried these products, and I am not interested. I don't know MFP's policy about what constitutes advertising in this way, nor do I want to see anyone's "freedom of speech" suppressed. The problem I have with these products is with their name, "Miss Paleo". People following "Paleo" or "Primal" lifestyles do not…

I just mixed some up for my son. I hope it makes his throat feel better. I juiced an orange instead of lemon today.

Yep. Search the forum for "carb flu" and know it won't last forever.
-
OMFG! That is the funniest thing I've ever seen!
-
Tammie, if you make your food diary public, it would be possible for others to give you advice.
-
Julia, maybe they're all too young. Or maybe no one's used the patch you're referring to.

I went through menopause au naturel.

Bump. Great ideas!

^^ This.^^ FTW. Go, Mikey!

But tofu's not paleo!

I agree with this100% ^ My sons are grown *kitten* men. If their going to eat my food, they're welcome. I started to "conveniently forget" to pop in some Pillsbury biscuits (or buy them even!) Ditto pasta and rice. They know better than to b*tch too much.

I have a new appreciation for beets. My grocery store also carries golden beets, which I had never heard of before.
-
I made it today, too. It's pretty good! I'm not sure how energized I feel, though. It didn't taste egg-y at all.

Mike is our paleo rockstar!!! The very few paleo doctors in my area are chiropractors. Do I want to go to a chiropractor for bloodwork and a well check? I always thought they were for back problems.
-
I mix up a little olive oil and vinegar for tuna salad.
-
I just "liked" your FB page.
-
So proud of you, Mike. You ARE the MAN!! Keep inspiring us!

I've been called worse, Mike...lol! I've thought about head phones, but I sleep on my side mostly. I've tried ear plugs, but they don't work. His snoring is really loud. I can hear him in the next room with the door closed. Sometimes it makes me so angry. He falls asleep as soon as he hits the pillow and snores…
-
What a great report! I'm waiting for a child to grow up and move out so I can have my own room far away from the snore monster (my hubby). Lucky for my sleep time, he's out of town a lot. We've enjoyed our sleep number bed for many years now. That alarm clock sounds absolutely revolutionary!

Possibly the confusion might be that coffee cups traditionally measure 5 or 6 oz. So maybe the recipe didn't mean 4 cups as in 32 oz, but 4 coffee cups as in @20 oz? Anyway, I do as some of the others stated, 16 oz of coffee to a TBSP of Kerrygold unsalted butter and a TBSP of coconut oil.
-
You could try mixing your coffee in a blender with your coconut milk. The frothiness makes it go down smoother and helps you acquire the unsweetened taste.
-
Never heard of it before, but I checked it out and signed up this morning. I think I like the way it breaks down all the nutrition info on one page. It's weird to me that it hasn't taken any personal info like age, sex, height and weight to analyze. It's just giving nutrition facts about food consumed. It doesn't appear to…
-
Great results, Rachel! I'm curious if you had a conversation with your doctor about your fabulous ratios. I'm wondering how to broach the subject with my doctor.
-
Sometimes I mix together plain greek yogurt and salsa. (Sour cream works too.) If you do dairy.
-
I would think having a whole chicken sitting on your desk all day (and then the next too?) would harbor a lot of bacteria.
-
I think most of us have experienced carb flu to one degree or another. We're all different, though. Listen to your body. If you're tired, take a nap. It will pass soon enough.

Akima, first of all, I'm sending you a friend request. I read your posts all the time but I didn't realize who was writing because you changed your profile pic. My advice: Unless you secretly enjoy the drama, STAY OUT OF THE MAIN FORUMS. (I'm not yelling, I'm highlighting.)You can always speak your paleo mind right here. I…
