  • I have an awful aversion to needles. Once when I was in the ER for stitches, I was so scared (I'd never had lidocaine or stitches before) my blood pressure got so high they were going to admit me. This year I finally got my cholesterol checked for the first time. I'm always honest with the person giving me the needles…
  • I have had two knee surgeries...the last was 4 1/2 months ago. I've always been able to do the elliptical...even within a few weeks of surgery. I work out with a personal trainer twice a month and he knows my limitations when it comes to squats and lunges (my surgeon HATES those) and other types of exercises that would…
  • Just bought ten tickets. I'm in a pool and we are each buying 10....would love to quit work (and buy my new Panamera)
  • Apex! Feel free to add me.
  • 1460 for me. I try to workout 5-6 days a week, so I get a lot of calories "back"...I'm trying not to eat all of these extra calories because I find it leads to me adding "bad for me" extras just to eat those exercise calories back. I have ten pounds to lose after knee surgery four months ago and just started logging my…
  • Garmin Forerunner 610. I bought the watch on eBay and then bought the heart rate monitor at REI. REI has a great return policy. The watch was $285 (worth EVERY penny because of what it's capable of) and the HRM was $69,
  • Two knee surgeries including a cartilage graft about four months ago. I was running on a treadmill at about 5mph (all I could handle without real pain in my knee) and then had the surgery. My surgeon told me I should be able to run "soon", but so far I don't think I could tolerate it. I'm going to the gym almost everyday…
  • I seem to be eating the recommended calories, but not the calories burned from exercising. I use a HRM to determine my calories burned, but I just can't bring myself to eat all those extra calories! I lost 59 pounds on NS, but gained back about 13 after knee surgery. Now that I'm back at the gym, I feel like I can lose the…
  • You need to wet the strap in order for it to work correctly. On my HRM there are two spots on the strap that I lightly wet from the sink (just get my finger wet and smooth it over those two spots).
  • I drink gobs of water all day....I gave up soda and iced tea (anything with caffeine) a long time ago. I work from home and have a huge insulated cup with me all day.
  • I have the Garmin Forerunner 610 and bought Garmin's heart rate monitor that works with the watch. It's pretty amazing how this all works. I have the watch set to alert me when I burn 100 calories and alert me if my heart rate is too low or too high. I'm able to sync this with my computer and it computes calories burned…
  • The ONLY items I don't always log are vegetables. When I eat salads at lunch I log those...at night I often just chop up fresh vegetables, saute and add to my food. I don't take the time to measure or weigh them since they are so low in calorie. Since I'm new to this site, can you tell me where I can change my macro's?…
  • I've been doing NS for almost two years. I lost about 60 pounds, but gained back 10 after knee surgery. Their maintenance plan is a mystery...in other words, there really isn't one. Once you reach goal they say there are other plans (dinner on your own, weekends off) that are for maintaining, but I'm not sure those…
  • I have been on and off WW so many times I've lost count. I was able to lose some weight but never able to figure you the whole maintaining thing. About a year and a half ago I started Nutrisystem and lost almost 60 pounds. In November I had knee surgery and due to lack of exercise for about 6 weeks, I gained back about 10…
  • Thanks...I also wanted to mention that I don't always log my vegetables. I eat huge salads almost every day (and measure carefully my fat free dressing..I also make sure the dressing is under 40 calories or so) and sautee fresh vegetables to eat with dinner almost every night. I'd love some other folks to look at this too!…
  • I don't have those pants specifically, but I buy a lot of their other clothes...only on sale since they tend to be expensive. If there's a store near you, it's best to go try them on. Once you know what size you are, everything pretty much is true to that size. I have pretty long legs and these are some of the few pants I…
