My July was also a disappointment. Over the last 6 mod I have gained back 12 lbs. I have been taking care of my granddaughter full time. She will be 7mos old in 9 days. Having her has been a joy but thru me off my routine. My exercise has been non existent and my eating has not been clean. I started to get back into…

I've found that when I eat sugar I crave it even more. Right now I am trying to back to clean eating also. i worked hard to lose weight and have gained 10lbs back. Easy to gain and hard to lose. One thing that helps is to eat natural sweet things such as dried figs (high in fiber and not too high in calories) or fresh…

I know how you feel. I eat fruit everyday and it brings my sugar numbers up, but I feel the sugar from fruit is different from the sugar from candy for example. People may disagree with me but from personal experience I feel good from natural sugar and hyper from added sugar.

I agree with everyone else. Go with your Hrm. The machines can't calculate properly. Everyone is different. It does take a lot of work to burn calories. A general rule of thumb is 100 cal per mile. That's not a lot. Also, you have to walk briskly. If you stroll for a mile you won't burn that many. Don't get discouraged. I…

I think the answer to this, at least for me, is to stop thinking of this as a diet and instead think of it as a lifestyle. It's ok to eat sweets or high fat food on occasion but not everyday. I think of exercise as part of my daily routine just like brushing my teeth and washing my makeup off at night. I really don't have…

i understand the need to rant and I hope it helped you to let it out instead of stuffing it and maybe eating over it. My suggestion is to not sweat the small stuff. You wanted to feel validated because of the hard work and weight loss but I'm sure your boss didn't mean anything by getting the large shirt. It's really not…

thank you for sharing your story and pictures. I found it very inspiring and although I don't know you, I feel proud of you. Keep up the great work. You deserve and earned that smile

leslie sansone is my advice, too. You only need limited space and it's fun and gets the job done

amazing transformation. Love your shoes!

Wow! You look amazing and like a different person. I love that you're wearing the shirt as a dress now. So happy for you. You are gorgeous, honey. Keep up the good work and more importantly, don't forget how it felt to be so heavy. Humans are really good about forgetting pain.

you can add me. My kids are grown now but I can relate to how hectic it was. I've lost about 26 lbs with this site. It's great

I do love peanut butter and eat it almost every day. My daughter turned me on to PB2 which is wonderful. It's a powdered peanut butter that you mix with water. It's all natural, made with peanuts, but dehydrated and fat removed. I found it at Shoprite but you can also order it online. Two tablespoons only has about 35…

I really enjoy doing kickboxing. I've been doing dvd"s and comcast On Demand fitness videos. My favorite is Sensei Guillermo Gomaz. It's fun but a great workout and I've noticed that I am toning up and feel much stronger.

hi, Congratulations on deciding to get fit. I also had high blood pressure and was put on meds (although I was 50 yrs old). I started my journey in April and have lost 25 lbs and my blood pressure is now normal. I'm off my meds and at 51 I feel better then I have in years. You can do it!

I gained weight because I was a compulsive over eater. The new weight watcher diet doesn't make you count fruit or veggies. I know myself-I would fill a bathtub full of fruit and eat all day. I definately count my fruit and veggies now and I have consistently lost a lb a week just like MFP promised when I started.

i have been weighing myself everyday and it keeps me in check although my weight can fluctuate daily. I'll have a great day and the weight will be up a lb or two. It all depends on how much water I'm retaining or if i've pooped that day. When I started MFP I only weighted myself once a week, always on the same day (thurs)…

sounds like he is very insecure and likes putting you down to feel better about himself. Most likely the thought of you losing weight and gaining confidence (as well as attention from other men) is threatening to him. While it's admirable to believe in your vows, it's never a good idea to allow someone to bully you. I am…

yes, I have used it but not in awhile. It is very good for the body and even freshens the breath and reduces odors from waste. That's two things that are good espically when eating a lot of fruits and veggies LOL. I used the liquid form and added it to my smoothies. I didn't notice any other advantages but if you look it…

i just discovered pb2. It's amazing. What a great find

hi Joe, (this is for Ninerbuff) I read your response and recently have gotten into kickboxing. I tried it a few years ago and had to give it up after a badly broken ankle which resulted in a plate and two screws. I just reached my goal weight with MFP and have been exercising every day for about 6 mos now. I just got back…

you are gorgeous! Very inspiring story. You look so much younger and healthier. Your daughter is a cutie, too. Reminded me of when my daughter did dance. She is 21 now. Time really flies so enjoy it now. I am so happy for you.
-
you look great. I recently reached my goal of 25lbs lost and could not have done it without MFP! Keep up the good work. I will continue to use MFP and exercise throughout my maintenance phase
-
I really enjoyed your story. You had a rough road and I can identify with feeling like throwing in the towel for life in general. I admire that you didn't give up. Your pictures are inspiring. I've lost 23lbs with MFP and only have 2 more to go to get to goal. I never thought I could do it again at 51 yrs. old. You are a…

I enjoyed reading your story and was amazed when I viewed the pics. You are adorable. The weight loss is obvious, of course, but even in the picture I can see the light in your eyes and the smile of a confident, satisfied woman. Congratulations

that's so cool. good for you

hi, I can really identify with you. I just went back to work last week after having the summer off. All summer I exercised and ate well. I really enjoyed it. I havn't given up but I work at a bagel store and I've been indulging every day. I'm worried. I just keep telling myself that I'm worth the extra effort it takes to…

when my kids were little I joined a gym that had free babysitting. It was great and the kids loved going there. I know gyms are very expensive these days so if you can't find one with babysitting or they're too out of your price range, then continue doing what you are. Walking with the stroller is great exercise and you…

I don't have any pics yet, either. I don't know how to post them. Will have to get my fiance' to put mine up. Anyway, I also have a large frame and would be skeletal if I got to the weight that is suggested for my hight. I am 5'5" and started at 170. I have lost 9lbs and I would like to get to 155 (Maybe 150 so I can have…

aloe juice works great and has no calories. Make sure you buy the natural kind. I also sometimes buy the whole leaf and peel it and put a chunk of the gel in a blender then add either water or make a healthy smoothie. It is all natural and will make you go. I take medication that binds me and the aloe is a life saver

i have always used shea butter. I have 3 kids and never got stretch marks because I always rubbed shea butter on my skin. There's a new product called bio oil that is suppossed to help. You can get in any drug store. I havn't personally used it but I've heard it's pretty good. Also, stretch marks do fade in time so don't…
