  • You look great! We are the same height, so its nice to see what I have to look forward to ;)
  • I watched it and loved it :) I am definitely adding it to my list of a couple shows I actually care enough to record ;) It seemed much truer to life than some other shows. I wish I could go away for a month and focus solely on my weight-loss! But then they have to work on their own at home and experience real-life. AND,…
  • To piggy-back on someone's sweet potato suggestion....if you like more savory stuff, you can make sweet potato fries by baking them in the oven with some olive oil and salt/other seasonings....SO Good!
  • Lookin good! :) Great job!
  • Fantastic work! Can't wait to see the next round of pics :)
  • Pep, It can be hard getting started and committed (obviously, or we wouldn't all be here ;) ). Definitely keep coming to the boards for motivation, and inspiration. There are also some great recipe ideas as well. My ibbgest thing was/is when I mess up I kind of want to throw in the towel and say F - it. But every time you…

  • Maddie - My legs started hurting pretty bad during week 2 as well....I found that I HAVE to stretch after I am done each day....it helped a lot! One that I do that I read about is sitting down and tracing each letter of the alphabet with each foot to help stretch out your lower leg. Also, the typical calf stretches that…
  • I'm supposed to start Week 3 tomorrow....its making me nervous cuz I'm not so sure about the 3 minute run...yikes! Mojogurl - for my exercise journal, I record the minutes I walked at whatever speed I walked and the minutes ran at the speed I ran...I am on the treadmill sometimes, so I just use those speeds, even when I go…
  • I've used Spark Recipes...now, I sometimes plug ingredients into My Fitness Pal as meal parts..so under dinner (or whatever meal) I'll enter all of the ingredients and then "Save Meal" as whatever the recipe is called. Then you can figure out the calories according to portion size as well
  • I do most of mine on the treadmill...I also don't like others to see me  (But, if I do go outside, I pick a trail or track, so I'm not on the streets/sidewalks) It's also hot out, and I don't last long in crazy heat. The times I have gone outside, once was easier, and once was harder. I've read that the treadmill…
  • I'm in the middle of Weed 2. I'd love to be able to encourage/celebrate/complain  with others doing the same thing. Maybe we could just start a new thread each week...???? Week one was hard for me to get through, but now that I'm in week 2, 60 seconds is easy! My legs have hurt, so I make sure to FOR SURE wait a…
  • Thanks to everyone for the great advice! I think I will take tomorrow off of running for sure and see how it feels after that. I have shoes I got at a running store - Brooks Adrenaline. I got them awhile ago, but haven't used them much. I'll be trying ice/heat and stretching and hope that helps! Thanks again!
  • TOTALLY feel you on this. We had a Biggest Loser contest at work. One of my best friends was on my team. She started at a lower weight than I, and lost a little more than I did. Combine those and everyone noticed she had lost weight. And they kept telling me how great SHE looked! It frustrated me!! Now, people are finally…
  • For real. Great job!
  • My favorite Podcast is Suz's Couch to 5K....its the same one mentioned from kissmyblackass. I found it on I-Tunes on Podcasts - Fitness and Nutrition. Its unedited hip-hop. Did day one with it today and it was great! Just more my type of music than Ullrey's (sp?).
  • Great work! Looser clothes, and getting to shop for new ones, is a great perk of getting fit :)
  • YAY!!! Good job!
  • Isn't it fun! Its my favorite form of exercise! I also probably leave something to be desired dance-wise, but I just hoped it made people not want to watch me! :)
  • Smoothie made at home: 1/2 Cup 1% milk 2 oz Trader Joes Vanilla and Cream Yogurt 1/2 Banana 1/2 Cup Frozen Strawberries 1/2 Cup Frozen Mixed Berries
  • I have the same Taylor scale as NGWife (I think). It just measures weight, nothing else, but seems to be accurate. It measures out to tenths of a pound....maybe in .2 increments, now that I'm thinking about it.... I like it!
  • This morning, I had a slice of Kroger Four Wheat Whole Grain Bread toasted, 1 T. Almond Butter and 1T. Smucker's Strawberry Preserves. Yum! about 220 c.
  • Awesome! Good job!
  • Thats willpower! Yay, you!:drinker:
  • Yes to all but number 4. I log my weight training when I do it just because it makes me feel good to "make it official" Water...log it....mostly because I am AWFUL at getting it in. Tastes....just up my portion sizes
  • Naner - that chickpea salad sounds great! I'm going to have to try it.
