I was briefly biking to the office, about 2 miles each way, years ago before we started working from home. Besides changing at work, one thing I did was to bring baby wipes and deodorant with me. Didn't have access to a full shower, but at least I could freshen up a little.

Try not to beat yourself up over it... I know I get burned out easily, especially if I'm trying to make a lot of changes at once, and y'know, sometimes life just gets in the way and you just can't expect yourself to keep up the same intensity level all the time. My feeling on it is, if you need a break you should allow…

Can you tell us more what kind of help you need? Are you looking for friends to help motivate you and keep you accountable for the long haul? Or just needing some encouragement to get off to a good start? It can be overwhelming and even discouraging at times, but you've found a good place for tools and support to do this.…

You, sir, are truly inspiring. Thanks so much for taking the time to share your story.

I have a hard time narrowing things down. Jeff Loomis (Nevermore) - Emptiness Unobstructed (solo on this song brings me to tears), Born, This Godless Endeavour * Page Townsley (Vore) - Misery Embrace, The Cruelest Construct * Piotr Wiwczarek (Vader) - Carnal, Xepher, Black to the Blind * Steve Allington (Apnea) -…

Another bonus to planning your meals in advance is that you can keep from wasting food. For example maybe I want some cabbage for a stir fry but it would be too much to use the whole head, so I'll plan on making cole slaw later in the week to use up the rest. I HATE throwing away food. My other favorite trick for saving…

I'm not an expert by any means, but from what I've read - gaining back some weight actually might make you feel much better. Your brain chemicals are out of whack, honey - this is not your fault but as others have pointed out, a disease has done this to you. The more you deprive your brain of the nutrients it needs, the…

Congratulations, That is awesome! It's very inspiring and humbling to read what you've had to work through to accomplish what a lot of us take for granted. Thanks for sharing!

Part of me just thinks, crud, wish I'd known that before... But even if it isn't ideal, I probably still would've invested in it. I'm more interested in trends than the exact numbers at this point. Plus my husband uses it, so if it's fairly accurate for him, then it isn't a total waste. Also, I had guessed my BF% to be…

I paid a lot of cash for a scale that figures it for me. It was worth it to me just for the extra information / motivation. On the cheaper end of things, there are websites that will calculate an estimated % based on certain measurements, if I remember they ask for things like your waist and neck measurements in addition…

I think that's pretty common for almost all of us, to some degree. For me, that lack of a realistic body image has worked both ways. When I was at my heaviest about 12 years back, I had no idea just how big I was and thought I still looked pretty good - until I saw the videos from my wedding. Now that I'm probably in the…

How often do you go? Eight adjustments might just fly by if you are going in a few times a week. when you are that badly misaligned, really, it's just scary to think the amount of damage you could do to yourself with pinched nerves and what all. I know from experience. Personally I think just keep doing what you can and…

I'm thinking about getting some real (professional) pictures taken as a gift for my husband. Maybe he'll forgive me then for all the years I've run away from cameras. Everything else I'd love to take up (rock climbing, belly dancing, skydiving, etc) I think will be too tough to fit into my budget and schedule. But…

If you look under the "food" tab you can click on recipes and enter the exact ingredients for your dish. The site will save your dishes for you which is super handy for things you make on a semi-regular basis. Something else I've done is just used other websites to look up the calorie counts for the exact amounts of my…

I've baked them before - not since I started counting calories, but this might give you a starting point. I'm pretty sure I just oiled the cut sides (but Pam spray would probably work too), put it in a pan with the cut sides up, about half-filled the centers with brown sugar and cinnamon, then baked it. Yummm, yum. I…

I work from home as a medical transcriptionist. I've been doing it 13 years and still love it, but would NOT recommend it to someone looking for a new career now. Voice recognition technology has completely changed the job field. I work for the biggest hospital in our region and about half our department was let go two…

Bump so I can show these pics to my husband later... I think we need to be investing in weights soon, he'll probably agree with me after seeing this!

Mine came yesterday, and I think I'm tending to agree with this. It took forever to get into when I tried it on, but the thing is a vice! Hopefully I'll take it out for a good test run (haha, pun intended) this weekend, but I think it's going to be worth the money. Looks like I'll probably end up preferring my Goddess bra…

I'm a 34DDD and unfortunately my sports bra that I LOVE for jogging, seems to be no longer available. :( It's from Goddess though, and I may eventually try one of their other styles since I love this one so much. Another strike against me, the specialty lingerie store here in my town just went out of business, and I have…
