I would not reccomend them. I am a certified Zumba Toning instructor and when we did our training they said that regular weights can be used, but you need to be careful and not 'flail' with them. Thank you for posting this. I sent your story to a relative of mine who's husband could really use this inspiration. Last I knew he was over 350 pounds also. Granted he is 6'5", but that is still not a healthy weight.

I would suggest trying to add fruit to your water to add some flavor. You can do fresh lemons, limes, or oranges. I cut them up and leave them in the fridge so when I fill my Nalgene water bottle I squeeze the slice then drop it in.
