Always count net calories. For example if you ate 1200 calories and burned 1200 calories every day for a week that would have given you 0 calories.

Am I the only person who find frozen berries extremely sour? I only use them in smoothies and porridge. And even in porridge I have to use honey or sweetened almond milk. Berries are so expensive in the UK but local berries are the best!

I switched to dark chocolate and had 2-3 blocks a day. It made me so much happier and I never crave chocolate any more. :) Restricting something in your diet will make you crave it more. There is no reason you can't eat a few blocks of chocolate, unless you are diabetic or allergic to chocolate. Which in the first case you…

Have tried them before and they definitely taste like banana omelette. They taste so eggy that you'd need to drown them in maple syrup. I'd rather have the real deal.

Exactly I've tried it in the past week and I found I was extremely energetic. Sometimes I felt slightly light headed but other than that I felt amazing. Proved to be more productive than usually as well. I mainly did it for the same reason, I've been mostly eating clean since January but at some point I stopped losing…

My favourite breakfast is porridge. Oats are relatively high in carbs but they're complex carbohydrates which means they keep you fuller for longer thanks to the slow release of energy. They are a source of protein and full of fibre. It's really diverse in the sense that you can cook it any way you like and it takes no…

I would definitely not rely on the database here as most of the time the calcium content is missing. Almonds are the best for calcium (almond milk, almond butter, whole almonds) but here's a little idea of what else you could eat:…

I was vegetarian for 3 years and for the whole of my life I detested red meat, poultry and fish. When I went to university I shared a house with 4 other people who just ate meat every day so I occasionally started cooking fish and chicken for myself even though I still didn't like them. I then had to cook for my boyfriend…

I would be cooking dinner whilst nibbling on blocks of cheese, I loved cheese. I would have 4-5 different kinds in my fridge and go through them in a week. I also loved my cereal I would have 1.5-2 bowls for breakfast. Used to eat out a lot as well and have a pint of ice cream in 2 days. Anything with carbs and dairy…

Protein shakes are always good after exercise especially if you can't eat back your calories. Also nuts and their butters are amazing as well as coconut and sunflower seeds because they are fatty but healthy.

I am not lactose intolerant or vegan but have noticed a huge change after I stopped eating dairy when it comes to my mood and digestion. I only drink almond milk and get all my calcium from veg such as broccoli and kale as well as salmon and almond products like almond butter. I rarely have ice cream anymore but when I do…

250g Minestrone Soup (or any other veggie soup) 1 grilled turkey breast steak no oil 1 cup of cucumber slices (don't add any salt because shop bought soups are quite high in sodium) and 1 pot of lemon meringue ski mousse (81 cals) if I want a treat. All together 329 calories including the mousse :)

My boyfriend's housemate was saying that I am fat to his friends. My boyfriend told me during a conversation about my weight, not realising how much it would hurt me. I new I had put on weight but it was due to a number of things and I wanted to lose weight but wasn't trying hard enough. His friend just gave me the biggest…

I never used to eat doughnuts until the first semester of my final year in uni (late 2012). I used to be very sleep deprived due to the endless homework and long days of lectures and I used to live on caffeine tablets and energy drinks until I found that whenever I had a jam doughnut after dinner it was an instant pick me…

My favourite is with fruit spread (I use St.Dalfour because it has no sugar), blueberries and 1 TB of peanut butter. My second favourite is with 1 small banana, 3 TB of low fat greek yoghurt and the rest is sweetened almond milk, I also do that as overnight porridge when I can be bothered the night before :P You could also…
